((Oh thank God I found him...))
*Nadir stood alone in the kitchen for a long time before he silently left the opera to return to his townhouse. And Georgiana. He smiled.* At least today hasn't been a complete defeat...

((Empty. Good.))
*Arielle walked in slowly, still clutching her cloak tightly around her. She grabbed a gallon of mint chocolate chip icecream and dug in, ignoring the salty tears dripping down her cheeks and concentrating on stuffing her face with the deliciously wonderful food.* Like I'm not enough of an emotional teeter totter already! Why on earth did this have to happen at all, especially when I'm PREGNANT?!?! *She threw her spoon against the wall furiously, then got up and found a new one to continue eating her ice cream with.*

*goes to sit on a chair and floats a few inches above it anyhow.* Ice cream. Damnit. Another thing I can't have anymore. *thinks* Can you lose weight in the afterlife?

*Arielle hurled the now empty gallon of ice cream and another spoon against the wall.* Why, why, WHY?!?! WHY does this have to happen at all? And why NOW?!?! I mean, someone up there is obviously having a sick laugh at my expense! Not only am I fat, and mood-swingy, and generally PREGNANT, but now TEDDY can't help me THROUGH that and I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE THIS! *She started throwing chairs against the wall furiously.*

*tries to stop Arielle despite knowing he can't, getting a chair thrown through him for his troubles.* "AUGH. DAMMIT. OW." *Strangely, he feels rather breathless, like having had the wind knocked out of him. A moment or two later, he gathers his wits and gets his breath back.*

((She can't hear him, right?))
*Arielle, finally exhausted, sank down to the floor, massaging her temples* No, I WON'T cry again. I WON'T. I can be stronger than that...*She bit her lip hard, her face slightly scrunched up with the effort of keeping the tears in*

((She can't, no. Not until the identity of the killer is revealed.))
*Teddy stalked across the room in agony and slammed his hand against the counter in unthinking anger, and stopped cold as he realized his hand had hit it solidly, even though he remained invisible and mute to Arielle, the objects on the counter had rattled and visibly shaken.* Come to think of it, I feel stronger than when I first...I was so weak right after I left my body. I could hardly move. And then that chair--it hurt. I felt pain. I couldn't feel anything for so long...What-- *He frowned.* Irene. The closer she gets to finding the murderer, the stronger I become. If--when--she solves the case, would I come back to life? I could-- No. *He doubted anything could ever bring him back to life. His strangled body had already been taken out and was being prepared for burial. And he hadn't a clue if or how a spirit could return to its body and be re-animated. It made no sense. But a man could hope, couldn't he? And even if he could, he'd long be buried before the murderer was found out, most likely. Time would be of the essence in that case.* But I am getting stronger... *he thought in wonderment, tapping the counter lightly as if to confirm his previous perceptions. The wood clicked hollowly, but invisibly.*

*Arielle jumped when the stuff on the counter rattled, followed by what sounded like tapping. She leapt to her feet, her eyes frightened* Hello? Hello? I know someone had to have done that... *She looked around quickly, her hair flying and her muscles tight, ready to run at the tiniest signal of danger*

*purses his lips, trying to think of a way to show her it's alright. After a pause, he gently pushes a peach lying on the counter and it slowly rolls towards Arielle.*

*Arielle blinked as a peach rolled towards her. Slowly, she reached out to take it, the velvety fuzz tickling her hands slightly* A peach...how...interesting. *It looked just like the peaches Teddy had brought home once in the memory I have created for her, perfectly shaped and beautifully colored. Odd as it was, Arielle felt comforted, and sat down after a moment in one of the remaining chairs. She hummed a sad little song as she sat down, then suddenly slowly dozed off to sleep on top of a table*
