*Laurie stood brooding in the darkness of the wings.* Jo shouldn't have come...I don't know how I feel anymore... I was in love with Jo...am...but...Arielle... *Laurie bit back a groan of torment and cradled his head in his hands.* Can someone be in love with two people at once? *The thought shook him and he blanched slightly, staring into nothingness.* I...love...Arielle. My wife. I love her. *He thought of her beautiful face, her undying faith in him, her sweet nature and kindness. The fleeting feelings he'd had for Jo in his rash youth seemed as foolish and idle fancy compared to the deep and quietly abiding respect and love he now felt blossoming in his heart.* I love her. I'll always love her.

"I thought you wanted out of this farce of a marriage," *said Teddy coldly.* "Why should you care how much I love her?" *He walked away, then turned to face her again.* "I don't love her as I love you. I never could." *His face hardened.* "I love her more than that." *He strode back to Jo and took her shoulders in a painful grip.* "Now tell me where she is!"
