Tell me, *Sark continued*, would you be the Susanna who is engaged to our good patron?

Susanna's smiling face suddenly turned into a stunned, serious expression. She stopped walking and stepped way from Sark. "How did you know?"

*Sark smiles reassuringly* News travels fast in these parts. I must say, your fiance is extraordinarily lucky. I was told his woman was the lovliest girl in Paris. That was a gross understatement.

Susanna blushed, "Thank you."
"I must apologize for my defensiveness...I just--I do not wish for people to think my position in the opera is because of our relationship..."

I would never assume that. Plus, he's sleeping with so many girls that he can't get them all good parts. An Opera House as prestigious as this would never bow to a man's desires regarding his love's career.

"You're right..." Susanna let out a small sigh.
"If you don't mind me asking...where do you come from?"

*Sark thought how best to phrase this*
Well, I'm British, originally. My previous buisiness, before I came here, required quite a bit of travel, so I've absorbed many different cultures.

"That sounds like a fantastic career, sir. And...your accent...have you spent some time in Ireland?" She asked politely.

You are very perceptive. Either that or my accent must be far worse then I had imagined *He smiles*. And what of you, Susanna? How did you come upon the opera?

Just then, Padmé came rushing down the stairs and laid a hand on Susanna's shoulder. "Before you go, Susanna, I'd like to thank you again for your assistance. I'd most likely have gotten lost in the corridors alone. There must be something I can do in return..."

Susanna giggled, "Oh, no! My father had many business partners from all over the world. They would come over ever since I was a toddler; I grew up with accents. Your accent is fine." She smiled.
"I..." Susanna didn't wish to tell him the truth, "My passion has always been with the arts and my parents thought it would be a good experience for me to stay here for a while..."
She was never good at lying...

Susanna turned to Padme and smiled, "There's no need to, Miss. Just...please let me know when you find him."

((if he ever comes on... -__-))
Padmé nodded and replied, "That I will do. Until the next time, Susanna." She smiled and waved as she headed back up the stairs.
