"Arielle".
I walked over to har and led her by the arm.
"Come inside. I don't want you to hurt yourself. And Theodore wouldn't have wanted you to, either."

*Arielle nodded and got to her feet, allowing Irene to lead her inside. Before they left the rooftop, she gazed around again* I'm sure I felt someone there...but perhaps not...*She walkd off the roof.

:By the way, how come I can see you?"

((Where did Teddy's ghost and Irene meet anyway? He was just following her around and I never found where she first saw his ghost.))

((Over in his mansion. He just suddenly appeared when I tried to question Jo. I try to go with the flow here.))

"I can only show myself and be heard and felt by those not connected to me." *He gestured to Arielle.* "Which is why I can't comfort her...or find my own revenge against my murderers."

*Belladonna bounced out onto the roof, then stopped abruptly, her huge eyes widening* Um...are you...um...

*pinches the bridge of his nose.* "Yeah, I am." Wait, how come I'm solid to myself, but everything else goes through me...?

Oh. *She blinked* Nice to, um, meet you. I'm Belladonna. Why are you a ghost?

*Teddy nodded miserably.* "I wish I had some other ghost here to tell me what to expect, what I can do. I feel so powerless, but aren't ghosts usually supposed to be able to DO things? Even little things?" *He shrugged.* "I guess I thought there'd be a lot of ghosts hanging out around here, given the area and high suicide rate, but I guess I was wrong."

*Belladonna's eyes filled with sympathetic tears* You poor thing. Did you leave someone behind?

*Teddy nodded.* "My wife, Arielle. I didn't realize how much I loved her until recently, when I thought she was in danger, and then--" *He buried his face in his hands.* "She's pregnant," *he said sadly.* "I was going to take such good care of her and the baby."

Oh, no... *A sympathetic tear wound its way down her face* You poor man. Er, ghost. I am sooo sorry.

**NEW DAY**
*She stood at the Statue of Apollo, gazing out over Paris, a light breeze blowing her cloak and hair out behind her. Strange, this Paris. Castles and mansions that hadn't existed before scattered hither and yon. And where in blazes had that tower come from?
The opera house was another thing, as well. Nothing like what she remembered--because she most certainly DID NOT design such a repulsive beast as this one. What in all of hell could have created such a place?
Not her. No, not her male doppleganger in the cellars, either.
But it didn't matter. She had found Christian, and she was content...for now.*
