*She hr'mphed at that*
"What would that be? It cannot be anything Erika is not prepared for."

"Or knowledgeable of."
*Julian sighed and looked out onto the city.*
"You know what it is to want as Erik wants, the violent rage at being denied. If only there was a way to...replace him. To placate Erik and let Christian be with you. Elsewhere."
*Julian frowned.*
"There may be another complication. I am...not certain that Christian would still find your feminine aspects...appealing. And I think he's kinda gay."

*She fell into thoughtful silence as he spoke, reacting with a snort to the last thing he said*
"No one finds Erika's femininity appealing, dear boy. She is under no illusions that Christian loves her for more than her music and her disembodied presence behind mirrors."
*She pursed her lips*
"And yes, a way to replace him so that Erika may keep him would be divine."

*Julian shook his head, as if she misunderstood his meaning.*
"I do not mean to suggest that it is your particular form he should find unpleasant. Merely the...womanly parts of it. If you do indeed have a face to match Erik's....well...."
*He shrugged.*
"Christian seems to be over his initial shock of the thing."
*He sneered in frustration.*
"Something about 'what's on the inside' or something. But I still have doubts that he sees the true inherent beauty of such a face."
*His eyes met hers intensely.*
"Not like I do."

*She raised an eyebrow, even though he couldn't see it because of the mask*
"If you mean my angel's proclivities toward members of his gender--Erika knows of this, even when he did not. Christian is a creature of many tastes, she has discovered. He finds either sex to be appealing."
*She crossed her arms and seemed to study Julian rather closely*
"Erika does not believe you about the face. No one can love this hideous monstrosity Erika bears. Her own mother cast her out because of this visage."
*She of course did not mention that her father was worse. Julian need not know that*

Of course he does...
*Julian rolled his eyes subtly.*
"I only know that I look upon my mother's true face and feel only love and belonging. I do not claim to know what feelings I might possess concerning yours."

*Again, eyebrows, Erika's confusion causing her to forget that Julian couldn't see that*
"What is this? Both your parents are of this face? There cannot possibly be another ERIKA!"

*Julian shrugged.*
"Of that I am unsure. I only know that Erik's true face has brought him...main complications."

"Erika knows of Erik, of course. She was asking you about this mother of which you speak. You say she is of the same face as Erik and Erika?"
*She was getting impatient, and it was creeping into her voice*

*Julian shook his head, frustrated by her lack of understanding.*
"Erik. Erik is my mother."

*She snorted*
"Don't be a fool, boy. A man can't be a mother, only a father. She asks again--who is your mother? The female half of your blood?"

*Julian rolled his eyes, perplexed. Why was everyone so obsessed about this.*
"I have none. Erik bore me. It is my understanding that that would make him my mother."

*She scoffed*
"Don't be ridiculous. A male of the species cannot bear young, only females. And Erika highly doubts that Erik is a seahorse."

"Seahorse or not, a being such as yourself should know better than to assume what is or is not possible."
*Julian frowned, a bit wounded that people always seemed so focused on the impossible nature of him.*

"While it is true that Erika is above mortal woman," she said arrogantly. "She knows that there are things on this earth that are even beyond her powers. She has learned this sad fact through experience."
*She frowned. Part of her was feeling jealousy, at the fact that other women could have children of their own, while she was left alone. She did not like this feeling.*
