"You call it Yule? That's - pardon me, that's endearing. Here, come, have a seat..."
He lead her toward the desk.
"Tea?"

"Please."
She took off her gloves a little bit daintily and shrugged off her coat.

“Sorry, let me take those.”
He came back toward her to gather them and hang them up.
“You look lovely, by the way.”

"You too," she said with a tiny smile. "You must tell me who does your hair..."

He laughed again as he went to start the hot water machine.
“Oh, so you must like it, then. I was wondering what you might think.”

"I think I'm flattered."

Adrian smiled slyly from the coffee station.
“I told you you had nothing to worry about.”

"You're not hung up on me, are you? On our last night together?" she teased.

"Maybe a little," he said, shrugging lightly before he positioned his right hand to hold one of the cups and picked up the other with his left, carrying them over to the desk to steep and then leaning on the edge. "However, that's not why I kept that up."

"Oh, Adrian, I was teasing you. I know you wouldn't be that sentimental about your hair, of all things. You act as though I don't know you."

"I don't know. There are people out there who insist I keep a mirror in my wallet," he laughed. "And heaven knows you were concerned."

"Tell me about how you've been, not your hair.

"Busy," he said, leaning against the desk with his legs crossed over one another. "The smallest member of the household has quite the iron grip on my affairs as of late, among other things."

"Busy is good," she said cautiously.

"The salary cuts have been approved; we lost a few but we'll manage. There are already some rumblings of accusations that this is a tax dodging trick, but..."
He sighed and spread his hands.
"It's... you're right. Busy is good. I'm satisfied at how much we've done this year."
