He threw his cane out first and pressed down on it as he stood.
He looked like something straight out of a old horror film, the slight breeze that night gave his robes a slight flutter as he took in the scene. The cameras flashed and fans clamored to see who it was.
Severus stood by her side and began walking. He'd been practicing his walk as to not make his limp so obviously... obvious. They moved along the carpet slowly dodging questions about their costumes and their connections, it meant nothing to Severus.
He just wanted to get to the exhibit and get to his sister then get the hell out.

Clark was sitting in the crowd, absentmindedly taking pictures of passing celebrities before getting a chance to ask questions, of course he was a head taller than most people there so he didn't miss anything.
Entertainment reporting was awful tabloid journalism and he absolutely hated it.
He'd seen Lex Luthor earlier and resisted the urge to follow him, he'd catch up earlier.

Steve was in his full Captain America regalia, if it was to be a costume party then he'd wear the only costume he had. He had planned on wearing his military uniform, but this made more sense in the scope of things.
Technically heroes were still outlawed, but there were no laws about wearing a costume to attend a ball.
He stepped out of the car and squinted his eyes, what a zoo. Reaching down he took Adrien's hand to help them out of the car and then offered his arm with a smile. They walked down the red carpet as onlookers gasped and journalists scribbled on their notepads, not much had changed.
He honestly couldn't care a less what they wrote and he was only there because he honestly had nothing to do.

Clark looked up from his pad to see a face he'd only read about, a man who predated everything, the first masked avenger. His pride suddenly swelled and he resisted the urge to salute the man, to say that he wasn't a fan would be lying.
Pushing through the crowd to the front of the gauntlet he called out "Captain Rogers! Captain Rogers over here!" He felt foolish, but he had to get a few blurbs of the man just to satisfy both his professional and personal curiosity.

Steve had heard nothing but Captain America, Captain America since they started walking, so when his last name was called out he couldn't simply wave and smile. He noticed a journalist who stood about a head taller than everyone else and whose shoulders took up more space than he did. Slowly he edged over to the fence and looked at the mans name badge "Mr. Kent, what can I do for you today?"
He didn't ignore Adrien and patted their arm with a reassuring smile.

Clark smiled "I was just hoping to get your attention, maybe get a few comments" he was trying to keep it professional, becoming over eager would give off a bad impression. "How are you today?"

"Well-" he laughed "-I'm at an overwhelming red carpet event at a museum that I visited when it was barely in it's infancy, I was born a year after William the hippopotamus became part of the collection in 1917" he laughed "so I'm doing a little weird."

"It's endlessly fascinating honestly, to see how things have changed. Technology has come a long way for certain and people seem to be more conscious of the world at large, you can thank the internet for that" he smiled, he knew people were charmed when he talked about changes, but he hoped to make a point of it all. "People take advantage of the information they have and it's all at their finger tips, getting this information to those without should be a priority."

"Absolutely agreed Captain" Clark nodded, taking notes "I can only imagine you're dealing with a serious case of uncanny valley."

"A little bit more like deja vu" he laughed "but yes that's about right. Some things are exactly the same, some thing are so different that I can't be sure if that's how it was before."

Clark nodded solemnly, the year he'd been gone his whole world had been reshaped. Smallville was at least still Smallville and his Ma was still his Ma, he knew no matter what that would stay the same.
He bit on his pencil, before asking a question he himself had been wondering "I see you're here in full costume aren't you afraid of the Superhero ban? And what do you think about Lex Luthor's bid for the white house, especially considering his anti-meta human stance."

"Your badge say's entertainment reporter" he didn't look down, but a small smirk sat in the right corner of his mouth, like a secret everyone could see.

"Can't let the investigative journalism go I'm afraid" he laughed, "so I can put you down for no comment then?"
Captain Rogers evades the question, but not entirely.
