*For a moment Loke stands there like a marble statue. Then he flyes into a rage:*
"YOU BLASTED BIRD!! I'LL WRING YOUR LITTLE NECK AND GRILL YOU AS A CHICKEN!"

*Cry-Baby had waited in the hall, but when he heard the commotion ran in to see Abraxas do his thing. Again.
He was getting really tired of this Loke jerk.*
"Are we gonna do this again?"

*Lokes eyes burned with hatred, but also he was getting weakend by his wounds.*
"You won the first round" *he growled* "But the Victory will be mine!" *leaves the room in fury*
*Malefica looked after him, then turned to Cry-Baby, really worried about his wounds.*
"You are hurt. And tired. This time I INSIST on healing your wounds."
*Abraxas, still sitting on Cry-Babys shoulder, whispered in his ear.* :"When my mistress has THAT look on her face, ten wild Norse gods cannot stop her. You can have my bed, over there!"
*Pointing to an empty bed in a shielded corner.*

((The crow has a bed?))
*Cry-Baby sighed, defeated. He was hurt.*
"Okay. But I gotta get going soon; back home. They'll miss me. But I'm not sure how to keep him from coming back."

((Malefica is a very decent virgin. NOONE gets in her bed before marriage! :-) ))
*Malefica sat down beside him and looked at his wounds. She held her hands over all his wounds, and her hands got warmer and warmer, without burning him. When she was done, everything was healed, even his tiredness was gone.*
"Thank you for saving my life, Cry Baby." *She says softly. "You'll certainly be missed at home. Tomorrow I'll start looking for a potion to restore my magic skills. And after that I'll find a way to stop Loke. He is up to something. I can sense it. Be careful, my friend. You have a mighy arch-enemy now. I sense a future battle... and it won't turn out well for my part. But I am the only one who can stop him, and I'm glad to give my life to a noble case. If you want to meet Abraxas or me again, you are always welcome here."
*Abraxas landed on Cry-Babys shoulder.* "Wait!" he says. "I have a present for you." *He placed something in Cry Babys hand. It was a tiny silver flute.* "This is your reward for saving my mistress life. Whenever you are in danger, as you will be after this, blow the whistle, and you will get help."

*Cry-Baby looked down at Malefica in concern.*
"Thanks. For the flute," *he said.* "But you sure you'll be okay here? I mean, he could come back, yeah? And then what?"

*Malefica looked up at him, smiling sadly.*
"I'll guess we just have to leave that to the destiny, my friend. Take care of yourself!"
*Worried* "Cry Baby? If he... should come back, if something happens.... will you take care of Abraxas for me? I don't want him to be alone... without protection..."

*Cry-Baby didn't like leaving things to destiny. On the other hand... he was really anxious to get home to Brandi after the day he'd had.*
"Yeah. I'll take care of 'im."
*He turned to the bird.*
"But you take care of her, right?"
*He paused for a moment, then seemed to make up his mind. He stepped over to Malefica and kissed her on the forehead.*
"Can't be easy, bein' green, but you do it well," *he said. He winked at her as he left.* "You best be alive, when I see ya next. Didn't save ya for nothing."

*Malefica blushed when he kissed her. She knew she loved him more than ever. But she couldn't tell him, she was glad he wanted to be her friend. With shivering hands she closed the door softly behind him. She leaned against the door, her heart beating faster than ever, her eyes twinkling with stars.*
"Good night, my love." *she whispered quietly.*

*Malefica sat in a leaning chair, reading a blue book with golden letters. They looked like ordinary letters, anyone could read them. Abraxas was with her, reading from her shoulder. Every time she read an ingredient, he found it and placed it on the table. In the fireplace, there was a black cauldron with boiling water, ready for the potion.*
"Let me see.... Fragrance of a rose, check! Rabbit's foot... EEEEW! Gross! Lily of the Valley.... do we know any Lily?"
*Abraxas looked at her, humor twinkling in his eyes* "Lily... as in the flower?" *he said and placed the lily-of-the-valley on the table.*
*She continued reading.* "And last, but not least, a kiss on the lips. Hm... strange name for a herb..."
*Abraxas harked.* "I don't think it is a herb...." *he said carefully.*

*Malefica laughed heartily.* "My dear Abraxas, it was a joke! This book says nothing about a kiss! The potion is finished now. I'll drink it and then we can go out, exploring this place."
*Malefica drank the potion and felt her strength return.*

*Abraxas looked at her face, worried about a grimace of pain.*
"Does it work? How do you feel?"

*Malefica smiled broadly, happier than ever.*
"My witchpowers are fully restored, and I am not in love with anyone anymore! I will never fall in love with a man again, ever! I hate angsty moments. This witch will chirp like a bird and be happy for the rest of her days. And now, Abraxas, let's leave this place forever and get back to Greece. I leave this letter for Cry-Baby, in case he'll return some day, but I seriously doubt it."
*Malefica placed a note on the table, visible for anyone to see. Then she drew a magic circle around herself and Abraxas. For a moment they were bathed in a golden light, then they disappeared. All that was left of them was a letter on the table, and a black feather from the raven.*
