Ever since coming back to London from Wonderland, and finding that her sorcery was gone, she'd been feeling...off. She hadn't realized just how large a presence the sorcery had been until it was gone, and it was like a huge hole had been left behind. What's more, there was the fact that apparently she had a destiny to fulfill, which required her to probably get killed in an attempt to stop a goddamn dragon from tearing ass across England and wrecking everything. And that wasn't even going into what it meant to be the wielder of Excalibur.
The uncertainties of it all left her stressed, and the stress seeped into her dreams, causing her to most nights either sleep very little or not dream at all. Tonight was no exception, though this time it opted to actually give her a dream rather than no sleep or a blank mind.
In the dream, she found herself standing outside of Buckingham Palace, wearing her nightclothes. There was no traffic on the street behind her, or even any people, and the sky above was nearly pitch black. She blinked as she took in her surroundings.
"Oh, what the hell."
There was nowhere else to go but the Palace, and it was quite obvious that the dream wanted her to head that way. With a sigh of exasperation, she headed inside.

Tasha's search had been fruitless and frustrating, but what made it even worse was her low funds and inability to get back out of London. She was at her rope's end, up the creek without a paddle, pick your favorite metaphor.
She wasn't surprised that she was stress-dreaming, but she was surprised to find herself in the same room as the possible future Queen of England in her dreams.
"Wow. I wasn't even thinking about you when I fell asleep."

Sarah blinked at the younger woman for a moment. Aside from the fact that she was a dead ringer for Liv Tyler, Sarah could swear that she would've looked familiar anyway.
"Er...what? Are you dreaming?"
Oh god, this was one of those shared dream experiences or whatever they were called, wasn't it? But didn't you have to know the other person at least a little bit?

"Looks like it. I sure as hell wasn't sleeping in here."
She glanced around at the grand hall they were standing in.
"Although it'd be awesome to sleep here."

"I guess it would be."
Already this was skirting around one of the things that sat heavy on her mind. Maybe this woman was just a part of her dream after all. Just a really canny one.
"I'm not sure what I should be doing."

Tasha shrugged.
"Me, neither. Until we figure it out...wanna walk and talk? I bet it'd get boring if we just stood around."

"Yeah, sure," Sarah said, with some relief. Maybe this wouldn't get weird.

Thinking along the same lines, Tasha fell into step beside her as they made their way through the palace.
It was a bit surreal, walking here with a complete stranger, and yet Tasha got the distinct impression that she should know who this woman was. Like...like her features were somewhat hazy, as though she weren't seeing them right. On top of that, she had an incredibly sure feeling that something huge was coming.

Sarah had similar feelings, although in regards to Tasha they were a lot more vague and had more of a general sense. As for the momentous thing, she had the added feeling that it was something that would hugely affect her in more ways than one, and none of it had to do with the Jabberwock.
As if she needed more angst.
"So, uh, you have any idea why you dreamed up Buckingham?"

Tasha chuckled.
"God, I don't. The last thing I was thinking of before I fell asleep was how I was gonna get home without the money for plane tickets."

Tasha rubbed at the back of her neck in an embarrassed fashion.
"Er...yes. When I started my search I didn't count having to travel so much, so I hadn't taken with me enough money for that. Was only planning on Paris, but I wound up here."

"You were in Paris?"
This was the weirdest coincidence, and it gave her a strange prickling feeling down her spine.
"What are you looking for? If you don't mind me asking."

"Yeah, I was--searching for a missing family member."
She started to pull out the now dog-eared picture of her mother, then stopped as she realized that she was in the dream world and didn't have it with her.
"She's...been missing for a while."

"Oh...I'm so sorry. I hope you find her." She said sincerely.
Paris. City of dreams. Some of them broken. She'd so many stories, some of them bad, yet they still affected her--it was just in her nature to care, even about strangers.
Although she doesn't seem like a stranger, for some reason.
"I'm sorry, but...do I know you know from somewhere?"
