"Then why'd you say it."

Adrian chuckled bitterly.
"Because you shouldn't be here."

Adrien leaned forward in her seat, her eyes already a little puffy from tears and extremely vindictive. "Do you wonder who I first contacted?"

"Dreiberg? Megan?" Adrian said acidly

Adrien stood and walked over at a leisurely pace, folding her arms over her chest at the window beside him.
"Our dear mutual friend - my own personal fairy godmother- Lukas Ashton. But surely you know his real name by now."
She untied the knot at the front of her coat and started unbuttoning it, though nothing could be seen beneath it so far.

Adrian froze.
"Loki-"

"He's been my friend some time now. Trying to get me to stay away from you over French fries. We met after Steve first stopped speaking to me, when he first found out I was a boy. You know what he said? He said he could make me a girl if I wanted. He's a very powerful sorceror, you know."

"He's not a sorceror," Adrian said wearily, "he's some kind of- alien outer god-"

"Also a sorcerer," said Adrien matter-of-factly taking off the trench coat.
The tank top underneath made the transformation quite apparent - it wasn't even entirely opaque. The breasts, though small, stood out like little cones, and the sudden brush of cold air made her nipples pert. The waist dipped in differently, however subtle the difference was, and there was something slightly unfamiliar about the still-boyish hips.
When Adrien spoke again the fact that her voice was higher was all too apparent. "Some magic trick, huh? It doesn't go away at midnight, either."

Adrian stared, then stood and hurried over.
"What did you- Adrien-"
He reached forward to touch him- her- with his good hand, but pulled back instinctively, not wishing to distress her.

"Yeah."

"I-"
He stepped back, shaking his head.
"How does the expression go? 'I got nothing'?"

Adrien gave him a queer look. "Yes."
That sounded much more normal in French.
"Well, there you have it."
She gave a short sigh, tossing the coat over a chair. "But, of course, I am not really Cinderella, so when I woke up on Steve's couch and told him excitedly that now we could be together, he did not know what to think. And then Jess, who is Tony Stark's girlfriend, showed up because she knows Steve. And took me to her place."
She declined to tell Adrian that shortly after Steve had called, that they as much as had something. She didn't know why she was hesitating to tell him about this.

"Don't get too involved with Stark, if you can help it," Adrian sighed. "He's no better than I am."

Adrien snorted.
"Stark has a girlfriend. Remember? I have mentioned her twice now? She's a friend of mine."
