"And why not?"

She shrugged.
"I just don't see myself doing it. When I was a little girl I didn't even dream of being a princess--I was always imagining zany adventures in far away places."
She laughed.
"Who knew those dreams would come true?"

Jay laughed, leaning against a pillar "Dreams are an odd thing."

"Oh, yeah. It's funny, the toys were from a tv show and the show was okay but was stereotypical 'girl stuff'. I played with them and had them do things like go on vacation and their plane crashed in the Himalayas, so they had to find their way back home through the snow."
((So true. Said toys were the original my little ponies. On top of crashing they found an underground cavern with the Titanic in it! xD))

((That's awesome.))
He chuckled "I'm afraid I mostly played with trains and such as a boy."

((Yeah, I had crazy plotlines and character archs even then. It's like I was destined to come to the 'verse. ;D ))
"I had some cars, too. I just mixed them up with my crazy stories, too."

((Oh my sister and I were the same way, our barbies had adventures that took weeks to get over with XD))
Jay smiled "But we must remember, I was a boy at the turn of the century, my toys were fairly primitive compared to what you must have known."

"Maybe out of materials. But I bet little girls in your day still had toy horses."

"So not too different." She said.
She glanced down at her clothes, only now remembering that she was still wearing her practice gear.
"Um. I should change."
She glanced down at the bedspread, which had gotten dirty from her clothes.
"Argh. The only annoying thing about the color scheme here."

He looked over and laughed "It looks good" he smiled "a break in the mold."

She quickly ran across the room to the armoire and threw it open, pausing to look over the contents.
"At least they let me pick clothes in different colors."

Grabbing a blue ensemble, she carefully set it out on the bed before also carefully taking off the gear. She didn't want to spread the dirt around any more than she already had.
"I wonder how we'll get back home."
