"I would" he screamed out "I would, but I can't... move... reach..."
And he was gone.

She stood there silently, staring at the spot he'd been standing in. For long minutes she stood there, her face blank, her hands hanging at her sides. Then, she snapped to, and began to frantically try and re-create what had happened to send him there. To home .

**NEW DAY** She'd been debating with herself about hotels, but she'd finally made up her mind and gone with this one--she didn't want to stay in a cheap place, but she couldn't afford anything higher-end. So, she'd settled for this one, though she still frowned at the small amount of funds it left her with when she sat down to count in her new room. This entire trip was steadily going downhill, and she still didn't have any further leads .

**NEW NIGHT**
Sarah immediately snapped awake, finding herself in her darkened hotel room, Jay sleeping next to her.
"Godammit." She hissed out into the still air. As if she needed more weirdness.

Elsewhere in the same hotel, Tasha also snapped awake. She would spend a good chunk of the night trying to figure out what the hell it all meant, and who the woman who seemed so familiar was .

Jay turned groggily "Is everything all right love?"

She glanced at him guiltily, feeling bad that she'd woken him.
"I just had what you would call 'a prophetic dream'." She grumbled.

He rolled to his side and looked up "Do you want to talk about it?"

She frowned as she thought it over.
"I'm not even sure what it's supposed to mean--I've always heard you can't take dreams literally as you see them, but it's hard no to interpret it a certain way."
He would not like what she had to say. She didn't even have to tell him to know it.
"In the dream, I was...shot by a sniper."

That woke him up "That isn't a normal dream dear."

"My life isn't normal." She waved her hands in the air in a vague expression.
"It happened in Buckingham Palace, and there was a girl there who helped me. She seemed...strangely familiar."
Well, not familiar because she looked like Liv Tyler. The other kind of familiar.
"Anyway, the Queen of England has good security around her. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about."

He reached out and took her chin "You will be fine."

She nodded.
"I will. Look at everything that's happened so far, and how we've both survived. We're tough enough for this place."

He chuckled "Absolutely."

Nodding, she slowly settled back down next to him.
"I still have no idea what kind of powers Queen of England has anymore. I guess I'll find out soon enough."
As always, the very thought of being the leader of anything larger than a Dungeons and Dragons group made her want to run screaming in the other direction, but she shoved that anxiety down. How bad could it be, really? She'd probably just be a figurehead an only have to make public appearances and stuff. Surely not any actual lawmaking.
