Perhaps outside of Verona, his worth, or lack thereof, was more difficult to see.

The man was as much his guest still as his servant, and singularly pathetic. Doom questioned whether such intimacy was quite appropriate, but a reputation of fatherly care was not such a bad one to have with the accidental legate of another dimension.
"It is not such a small concern. I have found it a worthy matter. "
Before Doom had come to power, Tybalt would have been without refuge for such a winter.

Tybalt was not sure how long it was meant to take to heat up, but he had thought it would be nearly instantaneous. He looked very hesitantly at Doom.

It didn't take very long before it did began to warm, and before the power button began to emit an unobtrusive glow.
