He could still feel the mirror shard in his pocket, and tried to move it somewhere less noticeable as they kissed.

She didn't want to be the one who broke the kiss first. She really liked kissing him... really liked him in general, for all there was strange about him. Of which there was much, and it had been hard not to ponder.

She stroked his arm absent-mindedly, then glanced up at him, smiled slightly, and settled in.
"I love you, you silly thing," she said, and then in the very next soft breath, said sympathetically, "Earth must be so strange to you..."
