"Well, you know all the things I like are Piaf and Baker and stuff..."

Crowley quickly found Piaf in his artists and put her on shuffle.

Adrien was dancing dreamily by himself.

Crowley sauntered over. He took Adrien by the hand and spun him around.

He was startled and laughed, almost a sputtering laugh at first.

"I am good enough for both of us," he beamed up at him. It was true. He was much more graceful than he'd been when drunk.

He laughed. "You really are. I haven't danced to this sort of music in ages."

He couldn't remember if he'd told Crowley or not about being from 1939.
"Ummmm have you ever heard of anybody being from the past..."

"Um. I mean, technically we all are, aren't we?"

"....I'm actually from 1939. Adrian actually found police records that state I died then. Guess some weird cosmic shit happened to bring me here, huh?" He smiled painfully. "Adrian thought there was a reason I had this second chance at life.... like he and I were supposed to be together. But Adrian was born in 1939-" He shivered.

Crowley nodded. He couldn't think what caused Adrien to come to the modern age, but he was suddenly overcome with a desire to tell Adrien that he remembered 1939, too, and all the years before and between. He felt like he was betraying Adrien by keeping his own supernatural nature from him. Still, he couldn't tell. He had no idea how the boy would react, and, besides, it would probably make him feel even more uncomfortable about time and chronology.
"You're still quite young. It's not as though you remember the years between 1939 and now, and even if you did, it's not as though you married a child. Time's a bit odd sometimes, that's all."

"You're the only one who's been able to make it sound less creepy - all Adrian does is remind me he's stll 28 years older, and that's worse, and I have so much less to be bothered by-"
