Louis sat across the street from the shelter where he'd taken that boy, Laszlo, so many days ago.
It felt like forever to him, but as it were, the days were missing and the nights were longer and for months he'd truly lost track of the time. He missed Christmas, but what were there in the celebration of the birth of Christ for a vampire anyway?
It was now February and the snow packed streets of Paris had once again become his moping grounds.
Even with Lestat seemingly gone, he still mourned his existence. He still wished for death, but knew, now more than ever, death would never come. And Louis had come to terms with this, he only wished that something could numb the pain of existence. Yet he knew of nothing that could, so here he was.
Sitting in front of a homeless shelter, reminiscing of days before he'd become a monster.
And days, that had made him feel like a man once again.

((Hope you don't mind--I haven't played Alex in months and I missed him.))
The young-looking vampire was wandering, as was his wont, going in no particular direction. He was a bit bored, to be honest: he still didn't know many people in this city, thinks to how hermit-like vampires could be, and how hard it was to maintian a friendship with other types.
He'd finally gotten past the heartbreak that had been caused by Daniel, and while he wasn't quite ready yet to jump to another relationship, he wasn't reluctant about it either.
He caught sight of Louis, and turned in his direction. He hadn't seen the other quite some time, and he'd wondered where he'd gotten off to and how he'd been doing.
"Louis?"

((No mind at all here! I just got a hankering to play Louis and he's the kind of character that revisits things so he can remember them. Thus why he's here.))
Looking up from his thoughts Louis smiled, a warm, inviting smile, one he'd found that he could fake much easier than others.
"Alex?"

((Okie-dokie))
"Yes indeed. It's been some time since we've spoken. How do these nights find you?"

Louis laughed "Lonely, have a seat."

Alex sat down next to Louis.
"I'm sorry to hear that."

He waved it off "There is no worry, this loneliness is deserved."

"I doubt that."
He sighed.
"What happened?"

He turned to him, a regretful smile on his face"Have you heard anything of Lestat these past few months?"

"No, but then, I try to avoid the subject."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Why?"

"The last I saw of Lestat he was drained of life on the roof of my plantation home. He wasn't dead, but if he could not garner to strength to find a way off, then I imagine he's ash. If he did, then I have not heard from him in quite some time."

"Okay...so you finally listened to me and left him, right?"
Granted, it wasn't the way Alex would've recommended, but still...

"After I found out what he did to Daniel-"

Alex blinked. That...hadn't been the direction he'd expected the conversation to take.
"Whuh? Daniel? Don't they hate each other?"

"Exactly, apparently Lestat found a cure for vampirisim, but only had enough to give to one person" he frowned "and he forced it upon Daniel. But no worries, Daniel is back to his normal horrible self thanks to a vampire named Johannes."
