This was an unexpected hope, but Adrien just looked up at Dan with wide-eyes and reached out to cling to him.

Dan nodded and slowly helped him to his feet, through the stress, Adrien seemed to have gained a 100 pounds. Or maybe Dan was just feeling weaker.
His whole world had just crashed around him, but then again-

He nodded to Megan to head toward the door, but before rounding the corner, Dan stopped, to turn and look at Adrian.

Moving as quickly as they could toward Archie, Dan made sure Adrien could make it through the snow. Within moments they were back at the airship and he had Adrien inside and started checking the engines.

He came inside and cranked up the heater as the door closed.

Jon looked back at him, then crossed the room to pet Adrian's cat, making no noise as he moved and still not deigning to touch the floor.

He looked back at him nearly in surprise. But he was still Jon.
"I congratulate you on your triumph," was all he said, completely non-sarcastically.
