He shook her hand with a smile "I'm sure you wont love, if Ms. Cartwright believes in you, then I believe in you."
Jess blushed a bit "Thank you Mr. Franks, and please, like I've said, just Jess all right?"
"Jess is a terrible name for an Englishman to say, how's Jessica, it's got more syllables?" He winked and Jess just laughed as they started in to the room.
After a few minutes of shaking hands they all headed toward the table.

Sarah blushed.
"Oh, well, thank you."
She followed them to the table, calming a bit on the way. She couldn't stay tied up in nervous knots forever.

As everyone got seated Jess began to speak "Thank you all for coming tonight, some of you from as far as California" she nodded at a man in a odd looking hat and a long black beard. "We're here tonight to prove and disprove a lot of long standing information. And I know that many of you are still not convinced on what we've found, and I understand that. But the proof they say, lays beneath the sands. The story behind the finding is as amazing on who found it, and I'd love it if Ms. Gonzales could recount the story for you all, then between drinks we can begin our discussions."

She took a deep breath. Well...here goes nothing...
"It just started out as a vacation," she said, trying to gather her thoughts.
"I wasn't looking for anything extraordinary, but...it found me instead. The ship got caught in a storm, and Jay and I were shipwrecked in the Bermuda Triangle. We were there for days--without a calendar, it seemed like forever--until we found ancient ruins on that island. They were a bit Mayan, or Aztec maybe, in appearance, so I expected to find something along those lines inside.
We got traps, nasty ones, protections for whatever was buried there, riddles and puzzles...it was like something out of a movie. But at the end of it all, there on a pedestal was...the sword. I knew what it was, I'd always been fascinated by Arthurian legend, and I recognized it when I took a closer look. When we were rescued, I knew I had to call somebody in England about this--it's a significant English artifact, after all. I just...had no idea what else would be discovered about myself, after all that."

A man near the back spoke first "Did you know you had English roots before the discovery?"

She shook her head.
"I know my family has history in Europe, but most of my tree is Spanish with some German...I wouldn't have ever guessed that there was a branch from England."

Jess interjected "Her family would have never known" and removed a file from her purse "this morning my assistant Peter managed to get me Ms. Gonzalez's entire family history" she passed it to Jay, who passed it next to him "it seems, a few years after the supposed death of King Arthur, in the year ----, his family tree and Sarah's both go dead, her's starts up again two hundred years later, Arthur's as we know never shows up again."

Sarah turned to Jess, wide-eyed.
"Really?"

"Mmmhm" she smiled as the family tree finally came around to Sarah "along with a few more things shown in the file, and Ms. Gonzales ability to use the sword, and the fact that it showed itself to her when she needed it most, well, there isn't a whole lot in the way to say that she isn't the great granddaughter of King Arthur."

Sarah studied the tree thoughtfully, seeing all of the familiar family names, although the farther back it went the less people she recognized...well, until you hit Arthur.
"Mom would never believe it..." She said, awed.
Hell, she almost couldn't believe it, and it was right in front of her.

"Can we see a demonstration?" Asked Mr. Franks.
"Sarah?"

"Er...what...do I do?"
She wasn't entirely sure what they were aiming for.

At that moment, Jess's assistant Peter came in to the room pulling a tray with Excalibur and another sword.
"Peter is a trained swordsman, he may be small, but he's quite capable. Gentlemen I knew that we just sat down, but can you all do me a favor, one by one as Peter sets up attempt to pick up the sword, please use gloves of course."
As historians they were more than ready to divulge themselves in history. So one by one they all stood up and put on the gloves by the table and attempted to pick up the sword, each men, no matter how strong or small had the same issue. Even Mr. Franks who himself was well versed in sword fighting had trouble swinging it.
Jess went over last and picked it up, visibly struggling and set it down.
"Sarah?"

Her brow had furrowed when the swords were brought in, but when the historians were all tested on it she realized what they were shooting for. Well, this she could do.
Nodding, she walked over and effortlessly lifted Excalibur, even moving at a safe distance to swing it about as though she'd always used swords.

Peter who'd been clearing an area handed his sword, a replica of the one they'd all tried to a few of the men and explained that it was a replica his father had created for the occasion. They all agreed that there was something different about the sword they'd all picked up.
And the fact that the small woman before them was now swinging it as if it were light as air.
"Gentlemen?"
A man in a top hat removed his hat and bowed "Amazing."
