*Alex blinked back.* "Dead girl?" *She looked back at Selena.* "But I can see her." *She frowned at River, then looked back at Selena.* "You lot having me on?"

Gladly. *Alex approached, feeling a chill. Stupid nerves. She reached out for the other girl, not sure what she hoped to discover. Naturally she didn't like being lied to, but on the other hand, she wasn't sure she was ready to admit to spirits from the beyond. Grandmum had been crazy, hadn't she?
Her hand passed right through Selena's.*
"But... but... this isn't possible! What happened to you?"

*Selena felt a wave of annoyance pass through her.*Well, I died. *She sat down again feeling hopeless.* Next thing I know I'm back here, like this.

*Alex looked down at her.* "You lied to me! You let me believe... uh. Nevermind." *She sat next to Selena.* "Sorry. I've never met anyone dead before. Must be difficult."

"Good luck, ladies".

Yes a bit. *Selena giggled whcih soon turned to sobs, tears running down her pale face.* I'm so sorry you found out like this, its just- you made me feel like I was like any other girl. Oh how I wish I was alive again, If only I had like a fairy godmother or somehting who could magic me back........
((Thats the ingenious plane right there.....Oh.... Yeah!))

*Alex laughed, though her heart beat fast as she wished fervently that she could wipe away Selena's tears. Or lick them from her satiny cheeks.* "No such thing, I'm afraid. Then again, I didn't believe in ghosts until a minute ago." *She paused and looked at Selena for a moment.* "But believe me--after tonight, I would never consider you just any girl." Should I tell her? Alex wondered. Would it matter if she knew I wasn't a boy? Or would it make things harder, for both of us? Oh, what am I thinking! This is ridiculous. We've only just met! And yet, Selena's heartfelt sorrow made her wish she could show Selena that she was in fact what what she wanted Selena to want her to want.
((Oh, and we should get some more angst out of the noncorporeal sitch before/if Selena gets re-embodied))

((Of course. Bring on the angst.))
*Selena looked up, her eyes glistening through her tears.* W-what do you mean?

*Alex shrugged, now slightly embarrassed. But she held Selena's gaze.* You're special. Maybe you don't want to hear that from me, of all people, but it's true. We--you and me--aren't like other people. And not everyone sees that right away. *She grinned self-consciously.* So I'd never say you were... just anyone.

*Selena looked at him with dawning comprehension.* I think I know what you mean. *She schooled her expression, trying to contain her excitement.* You're not like the other men, are you?

*Alex couldn't suppress another smile.* You're not stupid, either, are you? *She winked.* D'you need a hint? Though, of course, I could be the type of fellow who runs off after girls with a record of turning down his entire gender.
