(( This is hopefully gonna get moved ASAP. ))
Well, this wasn't glamorous at all. At least working for the Morcerfs and for a certain other Count there wasn't much actual cleaning involved-- just standing around, looking fey and pretty and doing all Monte Cristo's prying and spying. And doing anything to get under Albert's skin.
She wouldn't miss the boy, of course not. Her skirts swung against her legs as Beppo hopped up on her toes to dust the mantelpiece. Her new employers she had yet to get a feel for, but they seemed like the all right sort-- not people she'd want to embarrass herself in front of.
So many different surfaces and so much that required actual elbow grease. All her materials were spread out on the floor in the main path of traffic, one might add, recipe for a workplace accident, hopefully the desired protocol rather than setting them directly on the pieces of furniture she didn't know the names of.

Henri had been told countless times, from about the time he could walk, not to run through the house. Nonetheless, he seemed to be in a hurry to get everywhere. So when he went flying through the drawing room, he ran smack into Beppo's cleaning supplies, and scattered them all around the room.
He himself tripped over his own feet, and he crashed onto his butt quite ungracefully. His face was a picture of sheer shock for a moment, before
"I'm so sorry!"

Beppo shot over from what she was originally doing, duster raised, torn between immediate bowing-and-scraping apologeticism and laughter; naturally, laughter won out, though she managed to keep things to a dignified giggle.
"Oh!" Immediately a hand went over her mouth. "I'm so sorry! Let me pick those up--"

Henri had managed to get back on his feet. He was a little affronted by the giggle, but not offended.
"No, here, it was my fault..."
He started righting things and putting them back where he thought they might go, but, having little experience with cleaning supplies, just sort of had to estimate.

Not that Beppo was doing a much better job of it, but she had to at least look like she was competent and eager to do her job rather than adorably bumbling. She ended up taking things from his hands, in rather a rush.
"No, forgive me, really." Her odd cocktail of accents was beginning to show through, so she shut her mouth. At least it wasn't the man of the house... just the lovely young heir, well, wonderful.

He grinned.
"Really, it was my fault, but you seem to have the situation in hand."
He bowed.

Beppo blushed, and tossed her hair out of her eyes.

"Are you new?"
They didn't have so many staff that he couldn't keep track of them all, so since he didn't recognize her he figured she must be.

"Ah, yes-- I'm new to the country. Your mother appointed me to this position..."
Having gathered her supplies, and recovering from her dazzling, she smiled again more naturally.
"I promise, I'm not always such a klutz."
And he was the one who'd tripped, go figure.

"Luna," she said, rather quietly. With more boldness, she qualified "A colony. I prefer Paris."

"Well that's exciting! I'm Henri."
She probably already knew that, but he had two brothers so it was best to clarify, he thought.

She decided not to extend a gloved hand for the shaking or kissing or whatever it was you could count on a well-behaved aristo boy to do. (The poorly-behaved ones were fairly predictable, and she knew all about the shy ones.)
"Giosetta."

He grinned again.
"Piacere di conoscerti, signorina Giosetta."

She grinned.
"You may call me Beppo, if you like," she replied in her native language.
