Continued from: Coming+for+a+VisitJohn hitched Laurie up and headed around to the front of the shelter. Lost would take care of everything while they were gone, and he thanked god silently for her. John pulled the horse to a stop and smiled. The cart was quite large, and had plenty enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. He and Vincent had outfitted it with comfortable seats in the back that didn't ruin it's practical uses. "Come on girls" he hopped in the back and proceeded to help up Hazel and Marie.

László followed after, sitting quietly while he waited for everyone to settle and them to get underway. Being from a far more modern era, László had never ridden in a cart or on the back of horse, and this kind of transportation was a novel one to him.

Amras sat close to the front to keep an eye both on John and the horse.

Hazel looked up from her note pad and smiled at Laszlo "Have you met Ms. Isa before?"
She rocked sideways in to Marie as the cart took off.

"Twice," he said, smiling back faintly.
"She's like everyone's mom."

"Mmmmhm, exactly. She does so much for us, Papa's known her forever and she's going to school right now to become a doctor, she said she all ready started back where she came from, but then a world war started and she had to help people out, cause she was all ready a nurse."
Hazel grinned "And through all that she finds time to teach people how to sing, she's very excited to hear you, she told me."

The mention of Isa being from the era of one of the world wars slowed him up only a bit--he was getting used to the time-warpiness of Paris--and instead he just nodded as he listened to Hazel.
"She wants to hear me? I'm no opera singer, though--I love it but that's not what I want to do. Er."
He reddened just a tad, as not too long ago he hadn't had any ambitions as he'd figured that it would be useless to. Recently, though, he'd slowly been thinking that maybe he could be a singer: not opera, as he hadn't the voice for it, but...something a rock band.

"Oh that's okay" she grinned "Ms. Isa also likes swing music, she says Frankie's so er, swoon worthy."
She turned to Marie "Na uh, you talk way more."

Amras chuckled and leaned across the seat a bit to look at John "Where to first?"

"First to the opera to drop Hazel and Laszlo off, then to the school for Marie's interview, then you and I go and grab the cloth from the drop off, then back to to pick up Hazel and hope Marie's finished."

"Sinatra? Figures she'd listen to him," he teased. "But c'mon, if you get swing music, you should have some Glenn Miller sometimes."

"Oh Ms. Isa likes to dance to Glen Miller!" She laughed "She's really good at everything, I want to be just like her when I grow up."
