He dashed off, out of sight, into their bedroom, where he quickly stripped and then pulled on a bathrobe and rushed back out into Adrian's arms.

In the brief period he was left alone, Adrian pulled off his hat and overcoat, followed by his Adrien-dampened jacket, looking as weary as he felt. Every lie he told was only digging him in deeper with Adrien, and it was now only a matter of weeks...
Well, it wouldn't be hard to pretend to be ill. He already felt like it.
When Adrien came back in, Adrian reverted to a smile and gathered the boy up.
