All he could process was that Adrian was alive and would stay that way. Trying to wriggle into a better hug position he hit the steering wheel; having forgotten their circumstances, his expression could only be described as 'surprised'.

Adrian laughed in sudden surprise.

He smiled sheepishly and slid off his lap into his own seat again, messing up his hair in slight embarrassment.
The rain no longer seemed distressing; in fact, it seemed bright and welcoming, cleansing even. Gaving happily out the window, he suddenly beamed hugely at Adrian and excitedly put his hand on the car door before he could even be caught. "Adrian - follow me! -"
He dashed out of the car.

"What-"
He pulled the keys out of the ignition and followed Adrien out, reaching down long enough to pull up an umbrella that he'd made sure to pick up after the earlier weather reports.

Almost immediately Adrien made a direct beeline to Adrian, looking suspiciously quiet and completely soaked.
"Don't say anything," he mumbled. "We can just get back in and... brr."

"I'm not objecting," Adrian said, not unkindly. "I just prefer an umbrella under these circumstances."

"Then I suppose it's up to me to warm you. Come here..."
He pulled Adrien into his coat, disregarding the dampness, and rubbed his arm briskly enough to warm him a bit.

He leaned against him again. "It's all misty," he said, looking out over the soft rainy twilight. The light of the car's headlights seemed almost ethereal.

Across the street there was a bright flash; someone had realized who they were and taken a photo. Adrian, rather obligingly, stopped long enough to nod in acknowledgement of the photographer's presence before refocusing his attentions on Adrien and leaning in to kiss him with his back to the photographer.

Adrien's brow furrowed, but he merely kept his eyes shut and frowned.

He led him back to the car.
