Snow raised her hands "I never said she was dead, what I'm saying is that she shouldn't be alive" she sighed "please listen to me" she stood up and grabbed a book from the shelf "this is a book on Greek mythology. Helen is said to be the daughter of Zeus and Leda, two people most people consider fiction."
She set the book down on the table "If you really are looking for this Helen, then she shouldn't be too hard to find." Her eyes glistened a bit as she turned to a page with a picture of Helen "She was said to be more beautiful then the gods, the face that launched a thousand ships."

((Taking liberties and assuming that this is one of the myriad non-Diane Kruger versions.))
He couldn't quite comprehend the thing she was looking at; there were a lot of lines and dots around. The picture was more misleading--a red-haired woman in a completely different outfit, with some random pretty boy that looked nothing like Menelaus and a little bit like a girl.
"... That's not my Helen," he told her in confusion. "She has yellow hair."

((S'cool))
She smiled "This is one of many many different versions of her" she flipped the page and there was a yellow haired one, then another page and there was another red haired one on a vase "the people that wrote these books think she's just a legend."
Her smile widened "I knew it was all true" she then followed up with a whisper "418 years of reading you'd think I'd figure that out."

That was weird. If Snow knew Helen was real in the first place, then why did she go off about legends and how Helen shouldn't have been alive? None of the pictures were the real Helen, though--humans had a tendency to make things up, so that might explain why Helen was both famous and yet unrecognized by most of the people she'd met.
"418 years of reading, you'd think I'd figure that out."
He tilted his head at her whisper, which was still perfectly audible to him. "You don't sound that old."

"Ah, oh goddness" she gasped, flinging her hands to her mouth.
Good job Snow, 400 years and you slip to a complete stranger
It was too late to take back her whisper now "I, I've been cursed, although I'm sure you haven't read them, there are legends about me too."
She walked over to a book of fairy tales and plopped it down in front of him "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, that's me."

"Never heard of you." He looked down with a grimace; he had to explain so she wouldn't ask too many questions, but he still didn't like telling people about his life. Not like there was a lot to talk about... "I didn't have much of a childhood, so... yeah."

"I can definitely understand that" she pouted "it was my own mother that cursed me" she shrugged "although this was after she spent her life trying to kill me."
Smiling "But that's all in the past, and I'm sure I'm sure you don't want to hear about me."

Kiba had decided that the weird expression Snow used so much was getting annoying; it made her look like a kid. He glanced around, trying to catch Helen's scent--nothing.
"So... Did you see anyone who might be Helen?" He asked. He had no concept of human attractiveness, but he figured that people would remember someone like her around. He didn't describe her clothes, though--not a lot of people wore as much white as Helen.

"I-" Snow looked up and blinked, thinking very carefully, she'd been at the inn for two weeks. Helping with what she could, cleaning rooms and such for her stay. She'd seen a lot of women come through here, usually alone, always pretty.
Very few however, blond.
She remembered a sweet woman who came through, blond, who wore, odd clothes, she couldn't pin point where from however. She relayed this to the man.

A spark of interest--and renewed determination--flashed into his eyes. "Was she tall for a woman? And what color were her clothes?"

Snow thought "She was quite tall, although I'm short so I can't say that she was unusually tall, and she was wearing, oh goodness I want to say white."

"That's her! Is she still here?" Maybe he was imagining things, but he'd finally caught a trace of Helen's scent--mostly covered up with other travel-related smells.

She'd been here a WEEK ago? He heaved himself up from his chair, nearly knocking it over in his urgency.
"I have to find her! Did she tell you where she went?"
Helen wouldn't have told anyone where she was going in detail, with Menelaus still on her trail--she wasn't stupid.
