He opened it, looking puzzled and a bit concerned, with two paper cups of coffee, approaching the desk.
Blake's hallucination was still there, grinning at Adrian.
"Who are you talking to?"

Adrian hesitated, and then shook his head.
"Never you mind that. It's merely the medication again."

He had to search his memory, but he looked very grave.
"...you're talking to them now?"

"It's the Comedian, what do you expect?" Adrian snapped, as if this were totally logical.

His eyes glanced around uncertainly.
"Over here, toots," said Eddie helpfully, crossing his legs on Adrian's desk.

"Never mind," Adrian mumbled. "Thank you for the tea, in any case."

He caught sight of the chair and blanched, looking as though he'd become slightly weak, lowering the cups slightly almost as though he were suddenly about to lose strength and drop them.
"Oh, Adrian," he said waveringly.
"Here goes," said Blake.

"It's all right. You don't need to worry."

"Oh yeah you do," laughed Blake.
"What did you do to your chair?"

"I hit it. What does it matter?"

"You hit it, oh, Adrian."
He sank into the chair, but to Adrian it looked as though he'd sat on Eddie's lap.

Oh, lovely.
Adrian did his best to smile and ignore this.

As far as could be seen, Eddie put his hands on the boy's shoulders and massaged, as Adrien's shoulders sagged.
"If you hit... it's... it's... you broke the chair."
He looked at him blankly.

"I know," said Adrian, as he sat down again and resisted the urge to shout at Blake to get his hands off of him.

Adrien leaned back in the chair with a hand to his forehead. "Adrian, if you're interacting - violently - with the world around you, and obviously can't ignore the visions..."
In a way that could only be intending to provoke, Blake went through a rather casual but obviously theatrical string of motions, the pattern of which was: grope the boy, look at the boy's distressed but completely oblivious face, and grin at Adrian.
