"It shows," *he said. In an admiring fashion; he wasn't one to value inexperience overmuch.*
"Well, whatever you like. As kindred spirits, we could stick together for a bit. What are you here for, anyway?"

"Thanks again. I'm here to find some doctor guy and look for aliens. At least, that's the official story. I'm really here because my brother and I were getting sick of each other so he dumped me here."
*She laughed.* "We've only known each toher for about a year but we already can't stand each other."

*Kirk laughed.*
"I can't imagine why. Bit of a prude, is he?"

"Actually, not at all. I think the main problem was that I didn't follow his orders without question like all his minions at work. We're actually pretty similar and I think that's what caused problems. We both wanted to tell each other what to do when to do it. Not to mention we kept bringing people home at the same time and not having enough bedrooms."
*Jaqueline laughed* "Yeah, it got a little crazy sometimes."

*Kirk rather liked his orders being followed without question. Except for Bones and Spock, whom he missed, and whose questions were usually at least entertaining. So he could sort of see being annoyed by constant disobedience. It just didn't fly, so to speak, on a starship.
On the other hand, he could sympathize with the other issue. The Academy had been hell on his love life.*
"Well. Here you are, City of Love," *he said.*

"The perfect place to be, in my opinion," *Jaqueline replied with a smile on her face.*
"I bet the place is just crawling with hot people to shag, and I'm just waiting for them. If there aren't any aliens and I don't find this doctor, I might as well have some fun."

*Kirk laughed gently.*
"That's quite the healthy attitude," *he said.* "And you might be joking, but it's true. Nearly everyone here is remarkably attractive."

"That's perfect," *she replied with a grin.* "And for the record, I'm not joking. Well, not all the way. I may at least attempt to find this doctor before I go out on a hunt."
*Jaqueline looked over at Kirk.* "You wouldn't happen to know where he is, would you? That would make my job so much easier."

"Doctor," *Kirk mused.* "Tell me more about him."

"Well, according to my brother, he's male, tallish, travels in a blue telephone box, wears Converse shoes, carries some sort of weird screwdriver, is an alien but looks perfectly human, is practically immortal, and is incredibly attractive."
*She smiled at the last item.* "Of course, I haven't actually seen him before so I can't vouch for that one."

"Other than the blue telephone box, that doesn't narrow it down a whole lot. Even, strangely enough, in 19th century Paris."
*Kirk pondered this.*
"I'll keep an eye out. Where are you staying?"

"I don't really know where I'm staying, actually. I haven't quite gotten that far yet in my planning process."

"Gotcha. Well, there are plenty of fine establishments. Hotels, motels... empty rooms here at the Opera. Whatever you like."

"Hm, I'm still not sure. I think I might just wander around a bit before staying somewhere permanently. I think a hotel room might work nicely. Do you know where the best hotel is? By best I mean both nicest and hotel with nicest looking people."

"That's a hard one," *he said.* "I've been doing my own research. The nicest one, A Much Nicer Hotel than the Hilton, has a small residency but there are girls going in and out all the time. The Hilton is a bit seedy; Le Rouge et L'Epine has a wide clientèle, fairly attractive. Then there's the Bates Motel, but... I don't know. There's something fishy about those people."
