"I hardly know you, sir!"

*Julian looked wounded.*
"Mademoiselle? What are you assuming? I only seek the pleasure of your company. Why are you so determined that I mean to harm you?"

"Forgive me. I did not mean to imply that you intended harm."

*Julian moistened his lips with the tip of his tongue.*
"Then...what did you think...I was going to do?"

"Why don't you end the suspense and tell me?"

*Julian turned from her suddenly, leaving a strange void where he had been. Not looking back her, he whispered softly.*
"I would never...without your permission."

((You weren't that way with Sue!Me...))
"Alright. You have my permission."
*The words were out of her mouth before Mina had time to consider*

((This is different. I didn't just watch some guy I dislike trying to sex up my mom.))
*Julian was holding her in the blink of an eye, moving faster than should have been that graceful. He had one arm around her waist and caressed her cheek softly with the other hand as he brought his lips to hers. The kiss was deep but not overly aggressive. Just...promising.*

**NEW DAY**
*Kirk drew the curtains back and held the door for Jaqueline. The small room was lush, with deep red tones. Chairs clustered near the edge which looked out onto the stage, but one could draw curtains across and a divan sat near the rear of the box.*
"Primitive, perhaps, but functional."

*Jaqueline smiled at him and stepped in, looking around at the furnishings.*
"I think it looks lovely."
*She peered out over the balcony curiously.*
"Nice view, too. Not like that'll be important, though."
*Not sure of what to do next, she made herself comfortable on the divan.*

*Kirk sat casually next to her.*
"Yes. It's lovely."
*But he was looking at her, a charming smile on his face.*
"You're not from around here."

*Kirk raised an eyebrow.*
"In 19th century Paris? Just a little."
*He stretched his arm out along the top of the sofa.*
"Which isn't to say it's unwelcome. At all."

*Jaqueline grinned.*
"Yeah, I'm not really sure how to act or dress or anything here. I guess I've just got to get used to the time period."

*Kirk waved his free hand.*
"Nobody cares," *he said.* "I think it's an alternate dimension. Strange, strange people here. But wasn't I going to show you something?"
*He leaned forward and kissed her gently.*
