It wasn't in him to protest, but he had secretly hoped she'd forgotten. "I feel slightly useless now," he confessed, sitting down again. "Taking up your time and not being able to do something to help you."

"Don't. I can't stress enough how serious a head injury can be. Besides, I don't have to go now. I know from that battle in the field that they can take care of themselves, much as I've taken care of myself. Our worlds, I think, are not so dissimilar...and so, are rather tough ones to live in."
While she only knew of the similarities (and there were many) between her world and Sephiroth's, she was fairly certain thanks to the girl's familiarity with Bahamut and the warrior Basch's knowing her for the white magic she cast, that the other two were from similar places as well.

"You must be bored sitting here with me, too... Don't feel bad if you want to leave and do something more ... interesting."
Maybe he needed some time alone, too, to figure out what had happened the past twentyfour hours. And what he felt towards her, because it'd gotten a little confusing by now.

"Not at all! Tomorrow I can go about on my own, but right now I can stay here."
Tomorrow, she could plan, and think of how to best start her search as well as what spells might be handy to have in mind. There weren't wandering beasts everywhere here, thank goodness, but there were still monsters that she could be confronted by.

He didn't really understand why she would want to stay, but he accepted it and nodded. "Am I allowed to go out later for some food?" he asked meekly.

"Ohhh, I don't know," she said, teasing.
"I might have to go instead."

Yann opened his mouth to protest, that a woman shouldn't be on the streets alone, but he thought the better of it. "The pub around the corner has great stews. If you bring a bowl, they will fill it for you."

"Really?" She said. "That's rather nice of them. Hmm, but wouldn't you want actual groceries? That way you wouldn't have to make extra trips later."
While she'd been teasing earlier, she was serious about helping out--it was a part of her nature, to want to help.

"I'm afraid I never got around to reading cookery books." He grinned shyly.

"oh! Well, perhaps canned goods...and, hmm...well, I'm at a loss." She said with a little laugh.
She was no cook herself, or she would have offered to help with that.

"I think my neighbour has a cookery book. I could ask to borrow it and we could try some out ourselves?" he suggested. It would be something fun to do together, he figured, neither of them being the better at it.

"I don't know...I wouldn't want to ruin fresh goods." She said with a little laugh.

"I am sure it can't be THAT hard, can it? Loads of people cook every day..." He pondered. "And if we ruin it, we could still go get some stew."

"I...guess." She said. "But I've never tried before. Doesn't it take practice?"

"Everything does... but you can't learn if you don't try, right?"
