Happy he could be of some use, Yann started to poke up the fire in the little stove and went down to the kitchen to get some water in the kettle. It didn't take too long before he poured two steaming mugs of nicely smelling tea.
"Here you are. Anything else I can get you?"

"Thank you," she said, taking the tea and lightly blowing on it a bit before taking a sip.
"Oh, no, thanks. Tea will be fine for now."

Yann wasn't too hungry himself either and sat down again. "Tell me more about Spira?" he begged meekly.

"Oh, well...there's so much to tell--I don't know where to start." She said, thinking.
"Should I mention first the Moonflow River, or the Al Bhed, or describe Mt. Gagazet..."
Her eyes had taken on a misty, far-away quality as she named these things, seeing them in her mind's eye and missing them all. The Seine was lovely, but it didn't compare to the Moonflow.

"'Everything' would be a little much, I think..." he said softly. He didn't want to make her miss home even more of course, but it was all so fascinating... "Something you're actually happy to be rid of?" he suggested, hoping that would lift her spirits a little.

She laughed at that.
"Well, what I would be happy to be rid of we got rid of before I was brought here. It...wasn't easy, and there are still ripples, but I think Spira is for the better now that Yevon no longer has an influence everywhere."
She sighed, taking a deep breath.
"Yevon...Yevon was our way. Our faith, but not just that. It dictated everything. It was wonderful, perfect, everyone thought. But, recent events and what my friends and I uncovered showed us something very different about the system."

Yann nodded. "Like Catholicism. Everything looks good until you start to think about things..."

"I don't know what Catholicism is, so I'll take your word for it." She said, though she understood the comparison as being a religion. She'd have to ask about it sometime.
"It was saddening, though, as there were some who were truly pious, and they were betrayed by those who were keeping in place this system that wasn't as grand as most thought."
She frowned for a moment, thinking on the hardships that had come about because of it.
"But, things are moving along once again, life returning to usual, though now we see things more clearly and are in the process of establishing something new, and more open. Or...we were. I was helping when I was pulled here."

In his mind Yann made plans to visit Notre Dame de Paris with Yuna sometime soon. "Being deceived by the people you trust most is one of the most painful experiences, I think." He leaned forward and put his hand on Yuna's for comfort. "I really hope that when you get back, it is the nicest place ever you get to see again."

"It should be." she said firmly, though it was mostly to convince herself.
"I wasn't the only one working on the restoration, after all. The team will be fine, I know it."
They have to be, they must be, was her thoughts.
I don't think I'll be able to return any time soon.

He looked at her inquiringly. He could see there was something going on in her head, but she clearly didn't want to talk about that and he was hesitant to bring it up. "If there is anything I can do to help," he said softly, "please please let me know..."

She shook her head.
"There's really nothing anyone can do for Spira, not from here. I'm glad that the rest of the team is there, as it means that things will still be fixed as it should."

"And for you? Is there also nothing I can do for you? Make you smile, get you another cup of tea? Just give you a hug for comfort?"

Yuna blinked at him a moment, not expecting the last question in the stream.
"I don't really need much." She said, sounding a bit flustered.
"Summoners can be self-sufficient thanks to their magic. It's others that need help."

"Don't you get tired from being so strong all the time?" He tried not to sound too pitying.
