"That's your doing." She said, with a small smile.
"You made it happen."

"M-me? But I don't even know what I did!"

"Yes. Remember what I said--it is not really well-known how it works. All I can tell is that I wasn't the source." She said, smiling gently.

Yann felt almost embarrassed, that he was able to make it happen and Yuna wasn't, even though she knew a lot more about this. "I'm sorry," he muttered bashfully.

"Hmm? What for?"

"For er... for..." He fell silent. "I don't know," he said quietly. "It's all so strange. It doesn't feel fair that I did this and you..."

Yuna giggled.
"Oh, silly! I have tremendous powers from the Fayth, you shouldn't worry about being able to ignite the runes."

"Are you sure?" The last thing he'd want was messing up his new friendship because of something he couldn't control. "I'd be happy to never do it again. If I knew how." He grinned awkwardly.

Yuna blinked, not understanding his hesitation.
"Ah, yes. Runes are very simple, you needn't worry. They could be very helpful to you in the future."

He couldn't see how, yet, except perhaps when he'd run out of candles, but he nodded. Since she didn't seem to be mad at him, he gingerly picked up the pen and tried to copy another rune. It was still writing, and writing was his life.

"Do you know calligraphy? I only ask because you seem adept at this." She said, genuinely impressed at his facility with the runes. She'd seen so many hands practice it before, and it wasn't often that they came out as well as these were doing.

"Yes. Writing is my life, I practised long and hard on perfecting it." He took a new sheet of paper and started writing Yuna's name in Roman letters, but beautifully calligraphed.

She watched him write in the unfamiliar lettering.
"What does that say?" She'd learned to read a bit of French, but a lot of words were still unfamiliar to her.

"It's your name. I think. That's how I would spell it in our letters..." He hoped it was about right, but it... LOOKED right, somehow. It looked as right as other words he learned to write and read when he was small. Misspelling was easy to spot because the wrong letters stood out like a red flag on a dung ship.

Yuna smiled prettily, committing the letters to memory, Y-U-N-A, because who knew when she might have to sign something?
"Oh, I think it looks right. And at least it's not complicated, so it's easy to remember."
