"You can try," *he said confidently, still wearing the smile on his face.*

"Mmmmmm too early." *She decided, and promptly closed her eyes again.*

*Sighing, Chuck reached over found his watch, glanced at it, then held it in front of her.*
"It's almost ten," *he said plainly.*

"Reasonable people have eaten breakfast and are being productive members of society by now." *She said seriously, without opening her eyes.*

"So that would make us unreasonable," *he said, creasing his brow.*

"I would think that that was apparent." *She yawned again.*
"I suppose David and Evie will get worried if they don't see me before lunch..." *She still didn't sound like she wanted to move. Like, at all.*

"Well, worrying never killed anyone," *he asked as he pulled her closer.*

*The easiest place for her to reach was his jawline, so that's what she kissed when she moved her head up.*

*He tilted his head down and kissed her softly on the lips.*
"I've wanted this my entire life-- I've wanted you my entire life..." *he murmured close to her skin.*

"You took long enough making up your mind." *She teased, and it truly was without any darker undertone. As if to prove this, one hand moved to rest on his chest as she kissed down his neck and bit lightly at his collarbone.*

*He closed his eyes and grinned.*
"Does this mean we're skipping lunch?" *he asked.*

"Not hungry." *She resolved not to speak after that, involuntary noises excepted.*
*Lunch was completely irrelevant.*

***FADE IN***
*Chuck stood in front of her dresser, buttoning his shirt. He caught her reflection on the mirror, smiled then turned.*
"You're amazing," *he said with a chuckle.*

*She was in the middle of attempting to tie a sash on her floaty print muslin dress, and mostly succeeding. It may not have been pretty but it would hold the dress in place properly.*
"True though that may be, my hair, however, is not." *She said flatly. It was quite obvious what she'd been up to, judging by her hair's current state of affairs. She frowned at it in the mirror as if that would make it deflate. It didn't help. She had to settle for gathering about half of it back in a comb; that at least kept it in check around her face.* "It was awful when I was about twelve; I'd have nightmares about going to school with hair the size of the building."

"Really? I had a similar problem," *he said sarcastically as he finished with his shirt and leaned against the dresser.*
