*One could always improve, and even if Ophelia wasn't improving, it was good to keep in practice with a good coach. So she'd had her coach from London send her a few recommendations, and Christophe Gerard was at the top of the list. He was a wizened old man, but knew his singing, from what she could tell, and she had decided to train with him.*
*Vocal exercises, scales, lowering her larynx, raising her soft palate--all this was covered during the duration of the lesson, with Christophe still trying to get a 'feel' for her voice. They hadn't started any songs yet, and she had an extensive repertoire as it was, but she liked him.*
*When the lesson came to an end, he left the room and Ophelia was putting on her wrap to go back to her apartment.*
((cue Mozart, Beethoven, or a Phantom I suppose, if you feel the urge.))

((Just to let you know, my sue!self and my sisters sue!self also have the last name of Cartwright, which made us giggle. Since it seems our sue!family get's bigger everyday.))
Mozart had heard the voice and was stunned, her voice was crips, clear and from what he could see from the mirror he propped up in the hallway to shine in to the door so he could watch her, she was really quite pretty.
As she pulled her wrap on he finally sucked in his stomach and turned in to the door clapping "Bravo! Bravo!"

((heeeee. well this cartwright family is rather... well there's angst. or something.))
*Ophelia turned, a little startled, but nodded gratefully.* "Merci, monsieur. I was not aware anyone was listening." *But of course she was a singer, and therefore adored it when people listened to her. And especially when they complimented her.*

((Oh we know the angst, Snape, me and my duel personalities of death, my sister and her being framed for murder. It's awesome, lol.))
"Oh but you were" he flounced up to her and took her hand kissing it softly "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and you?"

"I--it's an honor, sir. Ophelia Marie Cartwright, soprano." *She curtseyed as best she could, given her upbringing. A rose from the mud, one critic had called her, but some of the mud clung to her still.*

"Well then it's decided, we are, who we are" he returned her smile with more enthusiasm than necessary "I'm afraid I was listening to you, because-" he inhaled "-it hasn't been posted yet, but me and my partner a Mr. Ludwig Van Beethoven have written an opera."

"I--well I would... love to be involved, as I assume is your purpose in informing me?"

"Yes! Yes! We will be posting the bill for auditions very very soon. We don't want to cast the same old smelly actors as always. I am hoping, no PRAYING, that a certain Mr. Castro doesn't show up. That diva just bugs me!"

*Ophelia's mouth quirked up at one corner conspiratorially.* "As one of his alternating opposites in Faust... I can safely say I'd prefer never to perform with him again. No voice, not even a perfect one, is worth putting up with that."

*She giggled.* "I think the whole company knows. What I don't know is why we put up with him..." *She knew a few good tenors in Paris, now she thought about it.*
