"Werewolf." *Simon repeated, dumbfounded. That wasn't exactly the 'weird' he'd been expecting. But maybe that was something like a Reaver or something and he was overreacting.*
"Ok..." *He tried to continue supportively.* "Do the authorities know?"

"Well of course they know, I called them and, and her funeral is next week" she sniffled "but I-I-I-I told them what happened and, and one of them snickered! And when I swore it was true, they brought me down to the station and questioned me and then threatened to, to send me to the nut house!"

*Ok, so maybe not so normal here. Simon rubbed her back softly.*
"That doesn't sound professional of them." *He finally offered. What was he supposed to say?*
"Well, at least you tried." *He tried to be supportive, a nervous smile peeking in the corners of his mouth.*

"It's just like them" she growled "the police in this city are all crooks!"

*Simon had his own reasons for disliking the law, but that seemed to be so distant from this place. He doted on her in concern.*
"It'll be all right. We'll find a way." *As if they could just handle it themselves or something. Obviously, Simon was not thinking logically at the moment, but he couldn't do anything but want to help her.*

Isa closed her eyes and laid her head against Simon's shoulder "I wish it was that easy."

*Simon's body held in an awkward tenseness, but tried to ease her mind.*
"Well, surely there's something that we can do."
*He wanted to bend and kiss her suddenly. But even Simon could tell now was not a good time.*

"There's a woman" she said softly "who said she could help me, she said she could teach me, teach me how to find him. But..." she wiped her nose and looked up helplessly at Simon "it's all so unbelievable."

You’re telling me. *But Simon managed to stay supportive, his presence constant. He hoped it helps.* “Huh. So she…knows where they tend to…congregate or whatever?”
*The wheels were obviously turning, even slowly.* “At least she believes you, right?” *He offered. Maybe that would be some comfort.*

"She also thinks normal people can learn magic and claims to be over 500 years old" Isa almost laughed "did I mention she's blind?" Rubbing her forehead against Simon's shoulder she released a slow breath, it felt good to even be touching someone again, he was comfortable for a skinny guy. "But I believe her..."

*At her description, Simon's lips tightened, but the thought was brief and he was distracted by her nuzzling. It was nice. He definitely didn't mind. He smiled dazedly for a moment before her other comment. His brow lowered, unsure of how to continue.*
"Um...so maybe we should at least see what she has to say?" *He suggested, hesitation in his voice. He was so out of his league on this one.*

"Yea... we" she smiled "I don't think she's lying, I mean, you'd have to be really crazy to be as calm as she was" she decided it was best to ignore the pit in her stomach that said she was getting in to something much bigger than herself.
"Simon, would you, would you hold me?"

*Simon could only blink for a moment. Clearing his throat, he re-situated, wrapping his arm around her.*
"Oh...of course."
*He tried to be comforting, but his body was kind of tense, her being as close as she was.*
"Better?" *He asked hopefully.*

She laid her head against his chest and wrapped her arms around his torso "Now it is."

*Something in him eased as she embraced him. Simon melted against her, his own touch softening and growing more natural. Her acceptance was warming. It made him feel needed and wanted.*
"Glad to help." *He offered softly.*
