The board room was serving as a dining room tonight, with Micaela at one end of the table and Adrian at the other.

...
"So. Now can you tell me what I'm here for?"

He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped as a pair of servants carried in two covered trays and set one before each of them. Adrian thanked them and waited for them to leave before speaking again.

*She thought for a moment, thinking how best to word it.*
"Any power a writer exerts over her fictional world, I can extend in some form over the real one. As far as I know. None of my power is focused or trained, however, and so things come out spontaneously, and it takes too much energy to do big things. I fainted last time I tried. Teleporting is getting easier, as well as telekinesis, and I have a feeling I'm going to be able to jump between universes, but not time."

*She popped a hairband into place with next to no effort, to pull her hair back.* "Easily. However, it's a little different with calling things up. I have to know everything about them--every stitch, every rivet, every wrinkle or ridge or detail. Otherwise it comes out malformed, or doesn't come into being at all. It's very volatile."
