((Dude, I wrote this already! What happened?))
Edward took his position outside the window. He supposed he could just watch from below, waiting for Nadir to exit and see him home safely, but... well, he needed to be thorough. But as he perched on the ledge, he found himself incapable of watching, lest he become unable to look away. That smooth, golden skin... the image from the whore's mind... Well he couldn't ignore those. He could ignore the tightness in his trousers, because to admit that would be to admit... other things.
He lost, eventually, his eyes straying to the window and the image of Nadir's almost brutal love, his innocent angel devoured utterly by that hussy's machinations.

((Proboards got creeped out?))
Nadir collapsed upon the bed beside Sophia, utterly spent. She moved to get up, but he pulled her back.
"Please," he said hoarsely. "I'll pay; I just...I don't want to be alone, tonight. Stay with me."
She obligingly slid into bed beside him, pulling the covers over them both. Nadir was already half-asleep as he pulled her closer, cupping his body around hers, desperate for the warmth of another being beside him, lulled by the steady throb of her heartbeat into a deep and dreamless sleep.

His sharp vampire hearing caught Nadir's words.
You're never alone, Edward's mind strained silently. I am always with you, Nadir Khan. You'll never know it, but that is how it must be.
It looked like he would stay; it meant some discomfort for Edward, but there was no telling what might happen to the man if Edward left. He'd have to stay. Luckily he had no circulation and wouldn't get stiff.
Er.

Nadir woke early, feeling rested, but the tumult in his mind was still great. He rose quietly, so as not to wake Sophia as she slept. He half-smiled at her tousled head--she was nice to him. Obliging and unjudging. Beautiful and talented. The perfect whore.
He dressed and left, paying a great deal more than anyone would have expected, and promised to return, in the near future.

That promise rankled Edward, for all he had not yet come to the conclusion that he wished to assuage Nadir's sexual appetite, for he was still telling himself Nadir was horribly misguided to begin with. Edward would set him right.
But it was growing light, and Edward needed to disappear. Paris was sunnier than other places he'd lived, and he cursed the sun which kept him from protecting Nadir all day.

Nadir returned home only long enough to bathe, shave and change his clothes, before returning to the restaurant to prepare for another day.
