"The south roads would lead through the more rural areas."
Laurent nodded graciously. Arse he may be, but he still knew his social graces.

Rudolf swept out after, closing the door just as the carriage snapped forward and took the south road.
"If it's only just this morning, then she shouldn't have gotten too far ahead."
