Hearing him, Midna turned. She'd thought of quite a few things, not that many of them were helpful. At least that was a definitive, methodical plan, and though evil, one that she couldn't fault for its efficacy. Personally, she would have found it a little disturbing to have a voice in her head constantly, but that was just her, after all, and lately she'd been talking probably a lot more, to compensate for her companion's relative silence. Hearing his description, she had to chuckle...then thought about what he'd actually said. Hmm. Well... "Not recently...was he carrying an impractically large sword?"((MISCOMMUNICATION AHOY!))

Sephiroth's lips curled into a small, menacing smile. "That sounds like my target," he said, finding some use in the imp-girl after all. She could lead him to Cloud. How that boy managed to make it here was beyond him, but perhaps it was the same twist of fate that brought him here as well. "I hope he's not a friend of yours." ((lets do the miscommunication tango!))

Huh. The princess was surprised. She would have thought she'd have known about him before, unless there was something that Link really hadn't told her. It was possible...then again, anything seemed to be possible in this place.
"I...had gotten a bit attached to him, before I had to leave. But then, or rather, now, I hear...ah. Well."

If she was going to try to stop him, Midna could find herself at the end of a very long sword if she interfered. Or run through with it.
"If you don't know where he is, that's fine. I can find him on my own... call it a sixth sense, but he and I have been connected for a long time."

It was ironic that the night before, the one he was referring to had stood directly above them. Midna, of course, believed he meant Link, and she was forced to admit that if she did see Link again, though that now seemed unlikely, she'd probably defend him. She doubted that even his sword could stop her, after all she'd been through. True, the Fused Shadow had been destroyed, but... Well, she knew exactly how it felt to kill someone like that."I'm afraid I don't. In fact, I haven't seen him in some time," she said definitely.

"Very well. I will find him on my own." Sephiroth did not bid her farewell, nor did he offer her any warning of the doom that would await her if she tried to interfere... he simply gave another polite nod of his head and turned to walk away.
He could find Cloud on his own if the boy truly was here, no matter where he was on the planet. It was merely a matter of connecting their minds.

**NEW NIGHT**
Tonight, it was here that Micaela flickered into existence, wearing only a very large t-shirt that went down to her knees. This had been happening since the beginning of the school year, with increasing frequency. Every time she could stay longer, with her record being about thirty seconds.
There was always the initial shock, then she got her bearings. Her point of arrival was always variable--it usually had something to do with whatever she'd been thinking about that day in her own world, as is the nature of normal dreams. This, however, was no normal dream.
Moonlight streamed into the foyer of the Paris opera house, floating over her skin and hair. She managed to make it into one of the boxes on the grand tier before she started flickering out. All in all, it had been about a minute.
As always, the next morning, she woke up in her bed at home.
