((László would happily allow Miles to spoil, once it finally sinks in that Miles would keep on buying him things))
He didn't eat ALL of the torte, though, since that would be rather rude.
He glanced guiltily at Miles.
"Ummm...did you want any more?"

Miles very graciously cut another thin piece for himself as he shook his head, more than satisfied, thinking that this next piece would probably be twice as much as his nervous system would tolerate, and ready to eat it anyway.
"Just knowing that your mouth will probably taste of chocolate for a month is good enough for me," he said, saucily but fondly.

He pulled the last of the torte towards him.
"Maybe...but how would you know it'd taste like chocolate without actually finding out?" He said, with a very cheeky grin.

Miles tilted his head, eyes widened as though he were being challenged and couldn't quite believe it, although his smile matched László's in sauciness, although a bit lazier. He would have been very cool and composed-seeming if not for the fact that, as usual, his cheeks were pink.
"Darling, that's the point. Of course I'd find out."
Well, László was back to normal. All was right with the world.

It was funny how, though he'd known Miles for all of a dinner and a lunch, he'd seen the man blush more often than some people he'd known for years.
"That's not why you got chocolate, is it?" He asked, his tone teasing.
"Just to have an excuse for that?"

((Which goes to show you the kind of shameless hussies he knows!))
Miles lifted his eyebrows innocently, though the stamp of insolence was on his face. "You think I need an excuse, and such a weak one, at that? Why, at any moment, I could trip and fall on you and our mouths could meet. Quite simple and chocolate-free."

"Really?"
For once remembering some table manners, he wiped his mouth.
"Why haven't you?"

He looked almost affronted, but managed to keep his head tilted back slightly, showing just how posh he was despite that.
"Darling, you deserve more than an accident. You deserve a seduction. Can't you tell that's what this has all been? You act as though you've never seduced before."
He blinked, but it was so slow a sweep of the eyelashes that it had to be deliberate.

"Seduction isn't something that happens with yours truly." He said.
"You know that by now. I guess you could say my experience of the unsubtle type."

Miles looked very deflated.
"Well, you can tell subtle when you see it, can't you? Or do I have to throw myself at you? I haven't wanted to trip onto you, László," he said with a sigh, "it would look undignified and would not benefit my seduction at all."

"I can tell, but I don't understand why you'd use it. You know what I am and what I do...I'm kind of not sure how to act because of all this. If you want something from me, then, say so." All of it was said with his typical straightforwardness.

Miles sat up in his seat and leaned forward in his chair, leaning against the table with his wrists and looking troubled.
"László... You knew I was joking, didn't you? I mean... I'd rather..."
He started to blush immediately and looked away, though rather concerned again.
Of course, he was obviously monstrously attracted to László, but the thought of such a loveless procedure sounded soul-damaging and even more monstrous.

He sighed. Well, there he'd gone and ruined the mood again. Typical...why couldn't László just keep these things to himself?
"I'm sorry. I just don't know what you expect of me. I'm not sure what I should be doing."

Miles drummed his fingers against the tabletop, a shrewd and thoughtful expression on his face.
"All that torte. I should fancy you're thirsty. Shall I ring for something? - no more champagne, I think."

"Sure, okay." He said quietly.
He still didn't know what was expected of him, and the subject change didn't help his frustration any. For all that he knew when it came to the physical, there was a lot that went right past him when it came to other concerns. He didn't consider that Miles might want him around simply to have company as it would never occur to him. László could understand curiosity (like the strange man of a previous night) or yes, even a predatory desire (vampires...). But not this. Because why would someone want anything else from him in the first place?
