Magenta flipped through the few scientific volumes with passing interest. She hadn't done any such work since she'd been with Moreau, but she'd certainly want to assist the doctors should they need her. She wasn't entirely certain of what sucess to expect, but she'd do what she could to help.

"The scientists of the past," he chuckled. "What an unadventurous lot they were."
He came a bit closer and started wiping his glasses off using a handkerchief.
"The recent past, I mean. It's as though they reached the threshold of harnessing the power we foolishly ascribe to God, could see Paradise before them... and chose to turn back. It's amusing how small-minded they are!"
He replaced his glasses.

Despite herself, Magenta grew interested.
"How fresh do you need the bodies to be?"

"Ideally, we would collect them at the moment of death, but as you can imagine, that does often necessitate crossing certain... societal boundaries."

She became excited at this.
"Oh, but my husband kills things all the time! You could get them at the moment of death!"
