*Oh dear, another sue, and one she didn't recognize. She'd never get to Eponine's apartment at this rate.... she'd forgotten just how populous the sues could be. If it came down to it she could always teleport away but really that drew attention she didn't need.*
"Erm... hi." *She said, looking a little uncomfortable. Canon-smashing always made her feel a bit ill.*

"There are some gentlemen negotiating on my behalf just inside," Mag said, nodding at the opera house.

"Really? So... You're probably going to leave in a few minutes, right?"
Micaela looked a bit nauseous, which concerned Billy--the fall must be affecting her now.
"Are you okay? You look kind of queasy."

*She smiled and it looked only a little bit forced.*
"I guess it's just the fall catching up with me. I'll be good in a bit."
*Okay, it was adorable that he'd asked, and she'd officially decided he was the cutest awkward thing ever. She looked over at Mag.*
"So you're a singer, then?" *She appeared to perk up, given she loved singing.*

"It's probably vertigo--or really bad dizziness," he remarked. "I got tossed around a lot, so vertigo isn't that new for me. It usually clears up after a day at most."

Azula wandered out of a conviently near-by alley, head constantly flicking about for threats. She was clad in rough-spun, red pants and tunic, her feet bare and hair dangling in unkempt tangles past her shoulders. Arms hugging herself protectively, the fallen princess fixed her gaze on the near-by conversation, hazy memories guiding her to straighten somewhat and plant an uncertain smile on her face.
Charm people, bind them to her with fear once alone, and... and..? Her train of thought fell apart at that, the teenager frozen where she stood, a mere ten feet away from the conversation.
(*deep breath* Here goes nothing.)

*Micaela's sue-senses were tingling. And this time, it was someone from yet another canon... she felt a little faint. She whirled and met Azula's eyes.*
"Aww Christ."

WEIRD WEIRD WEIRD WEIRD!! Billy's mind was now screaming at the arrival of yet another girl--who looked like she'd just got back from torture. The way her eyes were flickering around unsettled him, too, so as concerned as he was his gut was telling him not to get too close.
She didn't look that old, either; what kind of person would torture a teenager? ...Or what did she do to deserve it?
"Uh.... Micaela? We should probably go help that girl... or GET help... Is there a hospital nearby?"

Mag opened her mouth to say something, but at that moment two heavily-armed "gentlemen" appeared and parted the small crowd.
"All right, back away from Ms. Defoe, no, Ms. Defoe will not be signing autographs at this time..."
Mag's shoulders drooped a little as she was herded back to the limousine.

*Some of the color returned to her cheeks as Mag was escorted away. One less canon always helped. She took out her glasses and rubbed her temples.*
"Are you sure you're not sending out some kind of sue homing beacon? Because they sure seem to be showing up."

"...Sue homing beacon? But none of your names are Sue," Billy pointed out. "I mean, all the girls showing up is kind of weird, but there are lots of people in the city and... yeah."

Azula fliched a little at the eye contact, stepping back and shifting into an uncertain Firebending stance, eyes flicking about more wildly for signs of the guards Zuko had watching at all times for the least sign of resistense... This didn't seem like her prison... the island... The people... What?
She convulsively shook her head trying to clear it enough to have some room to THINK through the haze. The only thing she could focus on was not getting caught again, that simple spark lighting a small hot fire at the bottom of her awareness.
"I... I... Can you..," she failed to clearly vocalize, voice rough from disuse.

"No, I mean like Mary Sue, like a perfect character; this city is full of..."
*But she stopped talking and started fretting when Azula talked. As weird as it was having your mothering instinct flare up about someone who you objectively knew was evil in her canon, Micaela's was a little bit unstoppable.*
"Are you alright?" *She had to ask, moving closer to Azula.*

Okay, so the kid was either crazy or close to it--he imagined torture would do that. It made him feel kind of bad for keeping his distance, so he ventured a bit closer.
"Hi, honey, are you... are you okay?" He still didn't want to get in arm's reach of her, since she'd taken as much of a fighting stance as possible, but generally he was starting to get less afraid and more pitying. "What happened?"

Azula managed to clear her head enough to begin to realize that this was not anywhere in the Fire Nation she had ever been told about, these people with their... odd colored hair not knowing who she was or at least being good enough liars to completely hide their reactions in order to... No! No! Those kind of thoughts were exactly what led to her defeat before! Never again!
She resisted the gibbering impulse to step back again. She... she could use them to help her, not quite willing to drop her guard yet as she forced the words past her lip, "I... I'm lost. Confused. Name's Azula. Can you help me..? Please? Don't want to go back..."
It had taken her a year to be be willing to admit that much to strangers, to not try and bluff her way into making them serve her despite the persistant confusion sweeping back over her thoughts.
