*Richard stood outside the door, shifting his bag of equipment and masses of fabric about a bit nervously. It was always hardest the first time. But it would get better, he promised himself. Just a new place. Same sorts of people. And they were probably nice. He tried to remember to smile. Shifting his weight again, he carefully knocked on the door.*
((This is for anyone that might be interested. A performer getting her costume fitted or someone that's wondering at the strange man standing in the halls. Anything's cool.))

((Hope you don't mind. Poor Sorelli is plotless again and a bit of a wreck.))
With all of her clothes gone, she had realized that she'd have to resort to something that she never would have considered before: stealing costumes to wear for every day clothes. Of course, it wouldn't be any of the more elaborate ones, maybe one of the plainer until she could scrape together some money to buy a real dress.
She paused when she found the young man standing by the door. This would complicate her plans.

((It's perfect, thank you.))
*Richard jumped slightly, not expecting the direction of potential conversation to shift.*
"Good afternoon, mademoiselle." *He addressed her politely with a tip of his head and a strong British accent making havoc of his French.*
"I did not mean to be early. If you are otherwise preoccupied, I might return for this."
*He lifted the mass of silks gently to her in example. It shimmered invitingly in the low light of the hall.*

((^__^))
"Hello, monsieur. Forgive me, I didn't meant to startle you. I was just coming to see if any of the costumes for Faust were done."
Hopefully, the opera was still planning on Faust. By her calculations, rehearsals should be winding down and the opera itself opening soon.

"Oh yes!" *He answered a bit excitedly.*
"I have two of Marguerite's here. That is to say, that is my purpose in coming. To fit them."
*Remembering his manners finally, he gave a proper bow.*
"I'm Richard Chainy. I've been tailoring the costumes for the Opera."
*His brow arched shyly.*
"Are you Marguerite?" *He had no idea, having come onto the project so late. He'd only received the measurements and had to work purely from those.*

"Oh, no, sir. I used to be a ballerina here...my name's Angelina Sorelli." She said with a little curtsey.
"Sounds like you're working fairly quickly."

*Richard offered a shy grin from beneath his dark locks.*
"Well, I don't think they'll hold off on opening just for me." *He joked. Then he offered her his hand.*
"Mademoiselle Sorelli, it's a pleasure." *Realizing the rest of what she'd said, his brow perked up in curiosity.* "Was there something I could do for you?" *Why was she here if she was no longer a dancer. He was new to the verse and didn't realize that one hardly needed a concrete reason to be anywhere.*

((Hehe))
Sorelli shook his hand. He seemed nice enough, to thanks to her recent troubles she couldn't really rely on her first impressions. Who knew what hid behind even the sweetest face?
"Pleased to meet you...and, well, I was here to see if the costume room was open yet."

*Richard's brow furrowed slightly. He had been under the impression that this was the room of a particular actress.*
"Oh." *He breathed, his hand lighting to the knob. But after a moment, he drew it back again and looked back to her with a cautious smile.*
"Perhaps you should check. I wouldn't want to barge in on anyone that might not expect to see a man without warning." *Surely it would be better to be interrupted by a fellow woman. He stepped back to give her space to try the door.*

Perhaps she was being too hasty in thinking that things had gotten complicated--he'd just given her a good excuse to go in alone.
"Yes, it's probably better that I do." She said with a smile.
Knocking first, and waiting a time for a response, she slowly cracked the door open and peered into the room.
"Looks all clear."

*Relief washed over his face, but then a bit of trouble slipped back in.*
"Oh. Well...I thought I had an appointment. But perhaps..." *He looked a little awkward, unsure of what he was supposed to do now, his client absent.*

*Richard drew out and popped open his pocket-watch, not looking at all pleased.*
"Perhaps..." *He muttered.* "Or perhaps I've managed to find myself in the wrong place." *He silently prayed that he hadn't messed up on the schedule.*

"Well...where did they tell you to go?"
Now focused on helping him, she'd (somewhat) forgotten about her original reason for being here.

"Oh..um..." *Richard's dark eyes lifted to hers sheepishly.*
"I'm afraid they didn't give me all that descriptive directions. Just that I was to meet a leading lady in the dressing rooms. One of the Marguerites? They didn't give me a name or anything."
