Miranda was ecstatic. Everything was just right- the old church building, the wooden angels, the confession booths patrons would rent out to have sex in...
If only there were Nazis trying to get the place closed as 'degenerate art.' Oh well, can't have everything.
She had managed to inherit ownership of the place, and was damn well going to make it run. It would soon become clear whether or not she would crack and end up like the opera managers.

Somehow, as if drawn by a kind of magnet made of imminent sex, Pavi was already there, primping with his mirror and tended to by the two ballet girls from the opera house (though in reality, they were likely now former ballet girls, as they had all but abandoned their careers in order to keep up their new roles as Pavi's arm candy. Nobody really missed them).

Miranda looked up at Pavi's entrance. She had already recieved notification from GeneCo that two of their stars WOULD be the headliners at her theater, and she wasn't bothered much by that- famous people meant move people to see them, and more money for the theater.
"Welcome!" she said, trying not to imitate the Emcee. "We've all heard so much about you here, I'm sure this will be a wonderfull opportunity for everyone."

Pavi lowered his mirror and gave her his most charming smile, which unfortunately still looked like this. "It's-a no trouble at all, Signorina," he oozed while the girls giggled. "Is-a not just opportunity for the Pavi, you know. Is-a even bigger opportunity for you." There was a slight shifting under the forehead of the mask, as though, if his eyebrows were visible (or he actually had them anymore, for that matter), he'd have been waggling them lasciviously at her.

If this guy isn't a gift to the world of horror theater, I don't know what is.
"Of course, of course. I was also told another member of your complany would be arriving shortly- I don't know if you want to wait for her."

"Her!?" the two girls screeched, instantly inflamed with jealousy, while Pavi chuckled lightly and leaned back.
"Oh, si, si. Pretty Mag."

Miranda continued with her work setting things up.
"Yes, i've never been fortunate enough to heare a GeneCo production, but you two are supposed to be sensational."

Mag was. Pavi believed he was, which, with a good enough publicity team, ended up amounting to the same thing as far as most people were concerned.
"Sensational," Phryneé repeated. "Gorgeous," Timandrée added.

The doors opened, and Mag entered with her head down, flanked by a pair of rifle-wielding bodyguards. She looked up toward the stage, where people were scurrying around, preparing the stage...
...and there was Pavi. Oh dear.

"You must be Mag!"
Miranda rushed over to greet her.
"It's wonderful to meet you at last."

"It's very nice to be meeting you too," Mag said carefully, clearly ill at ease about the bodyguards and trying to communicate her deep sorryness to Miranda with her face without giving too much away.

"Mag! Bella!" Pavi called as he made his way down to her.

"Hello again, Pavi," Mag said politely, wincing a tiny bit. She was not particularly fond of any of Rotti's three children, as much as she had tried, and Pavi was just as odious as his brother and sister but with a bonus level of utter wrongness unique to Pavi himself.

"Now", Miranda continued, "there isn't usually singing in these plays, but with such great talents, I'm sure we can make a few alterations. I know your company writes songs for their operas, so a few could possibly be put into our productions once in a while."
She flipped open a copy of the first play, The Blood-Soaked Tragedy of the Mad Monk of Quirm ( the first thing she'd done was to take out the custard pie-fight; how on earth it had gotten in there was beyond her.)

((DISCWORLD <3))
"I'm sure they'll assert themselves quite strongly," Mag said darkly.
