Herbert glanced at the ledger one last time before standing up and putting his arms around Aziraphale's waist.
"Are you all right?" he asked gently.

Herbert was about to say something when the door to the back room opened again, and a very frazzled-looking man held up a clothbound book whose cover was dangling by a few threads.
"Is there a 'you break it, you buy it' policy?" he asked weakly.

"Sir, that is an antique and should be handled with respect!" *he said, his voice filled with utmost horror as he took the book from him.*

"Well, try telling that to a three-year-old," the man retorted. "You don't have a children's section, do you?"
Herbert took the wounded book from Aziraphale and set it aside, disappearing upstairs for a moment.
