"So," she said timidly.
"How did you come to join these people?"

Aideen slumped down across from her at a table "That's a very long story."

"Ohhh...you don't have to tell, if it's too much." She said gently.
Hopefully, she wasn't treading on personal business.

"Well, let's just say, I haven't always had these powers, nor was I a very nice person. To get these powers, well I had to give up a part of myself" she pointed to her chest, right where her heart was "luckily along with fire I was given something else" she pointed to her eyes and for a moment, Yaoya felt like she was happier than the happiest person in the world.
Blinking, it stopped "The man that did this for me, I fell in love with, then we separated and I moved to the woods, and he came back, fell back in love, then he left again after I found out I was pregnant. Now I've got a 1 year old son and he's back."
She laughed "Yea."

Hearing Aideen's tale, Yaoya felt that she could tell her anything, and before she knew it her own story came tumbling out.
"It's not as much as yours, but back home I was almost killed in a fire, but a boy rescued me and...and he was wonderful and I wanted to see him again so much that I made fire happen, and...and it caused the village to burn...and they wanted to kill me so I ran away and didn't stop running until I came here to Paris."
She stopped, slowly breathing in and out.
"Oh, my. I didn't mean to tell it like that."

Aideen reached across and took her hand "I knew you were special" kneeling down on the ground, she took the girl in her arms.

Yaoya hugged Aideen fiercely, suddenly a bit overcome. She hadn't realized just how much her situation had bothered her, having kept it pushed down the entire time she'd been here. The girl sniffled, trying not to get too emotional. That had gotten her in trouble to begin with.

Aideen smiled, holding her tightly "Just take a deep breath."

She sighed, slowly exhaling before letting go of Aideen.
"Don't need a fire, eh...you'd be fine, but..." She glanced around her at the people that filled the carnival.

She nodded still holding the girls hands "We'll work on it, I promise."

"Thank you." She said softly.

"Do you have anywhere to stay?"

"A little place on the shop lane," she said.
It was little more than a closet in someone's attic, but it was preferable to being out on the street.

"Not very big huh? I could get you a trailer here if you'd like, we have a few open, of course you'd have to go on the road a lot..."

She blinked. Trailer? She'd seen one of the long, rectangular shapes--much larger than one room in her own home, heck, almost as large as her old home itself.
"All to me? But, I, I haven't done anything much important here. Shouldn't they be for someone of rank?"
