*Will frowned.*
"And I assume he was not called back to his family? That is the first place I would look."

*María looked up at him.*
"His wife came to the castle this morning and asked if he was here. She says she hasn't seen him for two days. He has never behaved this way before, and honestly, I'm starting to getting worried."

"Understandably." *Will concurred, but then paused.*
"But...why did you not ask me earlier? I would have been on the lookout for him."

*María looked up at Will again.*
"I would have asked you earlier... if I had known about this. But my servants know how many problems I have to deal with right now, so they didn't mention this for me before now, when I returned from the police. I really wished they had mentioned it earlier."

"Oh." *Will answered unceremoniously.*
"Then I suppose you have reason for concern. He might be ill, or robbed or have suffered a fall or failing of the heart."

*María thought over the alternatives.*
"He seemed well the last time I spoke to him. Which was.... ah, let me think, I've been so busy... two days ago? Yes, two days. He asked me if he could take the rest of the day off to see his wife. I of course allowed him to leave. But according to my servants, he never came home to his wife. He is an unusually well and strong man, so I doubt he has any heart conditions."
*She looked up at Will again.*
"I fear that something may have happened to him. Something bad."

*Will's brow furrowed.*
"Then perhaps this is another matter for the police? I mean...there's little I can do. I don't know what else you expect from me."

*María sighed deeply.*
"You think so? Ah well, I don't think I have a choice. The man I spoke to didn't seem happy to see me the last time I was there, but if you think it is necessary, I will seek to speak with him again."
((Is your policeman busy with any cases at the moment, or can I send María to him?))

"I don't know what else to suggest to you." *He replied plainly.*
((He's not a policeman, he's an FBI agent. He normally doesn't handle run-of-the-mill cases. He's brought in for special assignments. I can't stop her from going back to see him, but it doesn't mean that he'll be happy to see her.))

*María sighed deeply.* "Ah well, here I go again. Wish me luck, Will. I hope he doesn't bite my head off." ((Sorry. It's hard to see the difference. In Norway we only have one police force. And they are trained to take care of all criminal cases. I'll send her back, and will be happy to provide you with any piece of information you need. I'll PM you on Smecker's account ))

"Good luck." *Will answered, feeling a bit tired.*
((The FBI is apparently more akin to the Police Security Agency of your country, but also don't forget the National Security Authority.))

*María smiled. She felt tired too, but as long as she was the owner of the castle, and anything happened to her staff, she could not allow herself to rest until the matters were settled. She turned to Will and kissed him.*
"Try to get yourself some rest. I don't know when I'll be back, so don't wait up for me."
*She disappeared through the door and was gone.* ((Yes, those guys are important. But they kind of stay out of the media if they can. Anyway, I PM'd you on Smecker's account about the case. Please PM me if you want more info.))
