Climbing up it, he threw open a latch that lead to a balcony balanced in the tree, from the balcony was a perfect view of the palace.

When the vista came into view, Amala sucked in her breath at the sight: that which always seemed beyond reach, that always seemed so tantalizing...so close, it looked, from here...
"This is beautiful." She breathed.

She usually just grabbed the first edible thing to hand--Amala was never really a picky one when it came to food.
