*Aziraphale stood and went to the drawer for some silverware.*
"Well, we wouldn't want that," *he said, handing him a fork and knife.*

"Thank you," said Herbert, and he smiled like a cat.

"You're welcome. Though the chopsticks are simple once you get the hang of them.-"

*Aziraphale stood once again, grumbling*
"Can't they read? The sign clearly says that we're closed-"
*He made his way to the front of the darkened shop.*
"Yes, can I help you? I'm sorry, but if you're looking for a book, I'm afraid we're closed."

"I'm sorry," Agnes began, lowering the soaked newspaper she'd been using as an umbrella, "but it's pouring out there, and I've lost my way- do you know how far it is to the Opera House? I'm not from around here-"

*Aziraphale sighed.*
"Come along inside, you'll catch your death out there."
*He ushered her into the bookshop.*
"It's not very close at all," *he said,* "And you can't go running through the city in this weather in the middle of the night!"

"This girl's gotten lost on the way to the opera- what's your name, my dear?"

"Thank you," Agnes said uncertainly, while Perdita pointed out that it was in fact a lovely and clever name, assuming you were a sheep.

Herbert stared at her while taking a bite from Aziraphale's unattended steam bun. Agnes met his eyes very quickly and then looked away again.
