Tsuzuki's eyes widened. "What?" he asked, looking bewildered. "What's wrong?"

*Wild pressed herself against the wall, her tiny body trembling with fear, her face white, and her dark eyes filled with panic. Again her breathing sounded like she was hyperventilating.*
"I-it's just that when the girls at the orphanage get that question from Leclerk or the others... He.. they... come with them to the bedroom, and tie them to the bed... and... and.... the girls scream.... And afterwards.... sometimes...."
*She hid her face in her hands and bursted out crying. Her tiny shoulders were shaking in heartbreaking sobs.*

Tsuzuki's eyes widened even more. He sucked in his breath sharply. "Oh- I'm sorry, I- that's awful. I-I just thought you might be sleepy, honest, I didn't mean to upset you."
He approached Wild slowly, hesitatingly. He didn't want to scare her, but he hated to see her cry. He put a hand on her head, smoothed her hair comfortingly. "It's okay, you're not there anymore. I'm not going to hurt you, and you'll never have to go back."
Above her head, despite his soft words, Tsuzuki's expression was turning hard and angry. He hated men like that- men like Leclerk, pushing their power like that. And to little girls...

*Wild was still crying, her heartbreaking sobs could melt a rock.*
"Last week he... did... that... thing to my best friend... Adelaide. She... she was only 8! And... And... then he killed her."
*Wild threw herself on the floor, crying even more, her entire body trembling, hiding her face against her arms. She cried as if her little heart was about to break.*

Tsuzuki's angry expression gradually faded into a pained one. He knelt beside her, looking down at her helplesssly, unsure of how to stop her tears.

*When the little elf girl noticed the presence of a kind person next to her, she climbed up in his lap, clinged both her arms around his neck, almost strangling him. She hid her little face against the corner of his neck and continued crying.*

Tsuzuki was a little surprised when Wildfeather climbed into his lap, but if it made her feel better he'd do anything. Gently he put his arms around her and let her cry herself out.

*Wild slowly calmed down, and the crying stopped. Her breathing slowed down, and her head felt heavier. With her head against Tsuzuki's shoulder, she drifted off to sleep.*

The next morning, a jaunty knock came at the door as Norman did his rounds with fresh linens. He smelled something inside that was not vampire. He'd have to talk to Maria about admitting such customers--they needed to keep a low profile--but if they turned out to be tasty morsels he supposed it wouldn't be terrible.

((Is it ok for me to jump in? Please just ignore me if I interrupt anything.))
*Wild opened the door and peeked out, still a bit suspicious to strangers.*
"May I help you?"
*She asked, trying to be polite.*

((Nope. I just thought y'all should know you're staying in a vampire motel.))
Norman smiled his most hostly smile.
"Here to change the linens," he said. "I can come back if I'm bothering you."

((Eeep Just kidding, I knew that. But I bet Maggie don't.)) *Wild arched her eyebrow in surprise.* "No, you're not bothering us. Please, come inside." *She stepped aside, allowing him to enter.*

Norman smiled, all teeth, and stepped inside.
The girl wasn't human. She smelled like the girl in the park. A delicacy? They could charge more, perhaps. He went to the bed and began pulling the linens off, biding his time.

*Wild watched him warily. He wasn't human. Her eyes narrowed and she decided to keep an eye on him, just in case. Her tiny hand slipped into her skirt pocked, clutching a garlic she had there.*

Norman went around to the other side of the bed, removing the sheets and planning his move so that it came at the least expected time--
He leapt across the bed, straight at Wild.
