*Lois, dressed in a professional yet chic suit and holding a brown briefcase, stood in front of Dr. Crane's office and knocked.*

*Crane opened the door. He raised his eyebrow*
"Can I help you?"

*Lois took out her credentials and held it before her.*
"I'm Lois Lane with the Daily Planet and I'm here for a consult on an article I'm writing. I believe we spoke on the phone."

Oh damn it, I awlays forget these things.
"Oh yes. Come in, Ms. Lane."
*He went over to his desk*
"WHat is it you wanted to ask me?"

*Lois walked over, set her things down and took out her pen and notepad.*
"I'd like to know your professional opinion on modern-day psychiatry, especially prescription drugs and popular treatments," *she said, obviously very much prepared for this interview.* "For example: on patients who exhibit psychotic homocidal behaviour, what do you think is the best course of treatment-- drugs, one-on-one intervention or both?"

"I would say it depends on the particular case. Certain patients respond differently..."
*As he elaborated on his answer, he took the time to silently observe her. She didn't want to know about this. She was after something else.*

*Lois took detailed notes on his explaination and nodded. The icy nature she had noticed on his photos during her research prooved to be true in person as well. Crane had one of those unreadable faces that made her feel vulnerable. Though she felt unsettled, she remained professional and stoic.*
"And what would you have to say about your own methods, doctor?" *she asked, not looking up as she finished the line she was writing.*

*Rather than answer her question, Crane asked one of his own*
"Forgive me interrupting, but I just remembered where I heard your name. Didn't you first report that Superman had disappeared?"

*At the mention of Superman, Lois' hand immediately stopped writing. She looked up slowly and het his gaze. She knew very well what he was implying.*
"Yes, it's my job as a journalist to report events as soon as possible," *she said calmly.*

"I found that a very interesting case. You've always been something of an expert on him, as I understand."

"Dr. Crane, if you're trying to play one of your mind games and invade my personal life in order to evade my questions, it's not going to work," *she said curtly.* "But I will say this: I'm a reporter, he was my source. That was all."

"Of course. I'm so sorry, I had simply wondered. With him gone, and you off in Paris- or did it happen the other way around?"

*Lois shifted in her seat, sitting up straighter.*
"Whatever you have on me can't possible be as bad as what I have on you," *she said. Her tone was quiet but it still had a steely edge.*

*He smiled at her*
"Now Ms. Lane, that's hardly a good strategy. Why tell me ahead of time?"

*Lois frowned.*
Ahead of time?
"What are you talking about?" *she asked, confused.*
