*Malefica smiled warmly.*
"Well, then I think it is time for you to start your lessons with Merlin. Momma needs to exercise, so she will be in the room next door if you need me. Is that okay?
Another alternative for you, is to come with Momma to the exercise room and watch Momma and Merlin practice self defence."

*Malefica smiled and caressed him.*
"You could play with Nightfall too, if you like. You can take her horseriding, or you could play with Abraxas or the kittens. I will let you do what you want to do today."

*Malefica smiled and kissed her son lovingly.*
"Don't worry sweetie. I think we should start slowly. Letting you get the chance to learn new words first. Then, when you feel more secure, we can move on. If you go to Merlin now, he can read the next chapter in your book for you."

*Merlin was sitting in his comfortable chair, the book already open in front of him. He looked up and smiled at the sight of Gawain entering the room.*
"Ah, good morning, Gawain. Do you want to hear more of the story about Kay and the Wart?"
*He reached out his arms to the boy.*

*Merlin smiled and put on his glasses. In the doorway, he noticed Malefica standing quietly, following her son's education with interest. They smiled to one another before Merlin cleared his throat and started reading.*
" The Once and Future King, by T.H. White. Book I: “The Sword and the Stone,” Chapter 2.
Cully flies deeper and deeper into the forest. The Wart worries that Cully’s caretaker, Hob, will be disappointed to see so much of his hard work gone to waste, but Kay says that Hob is just a servant, and he storms off. The Wart, however, decides to stay behind and recapture the bird..."

*Merlin looked down at the little boy and smiled. He loved to see how focused he was. That boy would be a clever student one day.*
"As darkness falls, the Wart settles down under the tree where Cully has perched. A man shoots an arrow at the Wart, and the Wart runs farther into the forest, losing his way..."
